From my point of view, the Holiday Inn Express Almaty is truly exceptional. The accommodations are comfortable and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment for guests. It was very clean and had Japanese-level comfort.
Our room was on the 8th floor, and had a beautiful view of the majestic Tianshan mountain range!

It came as a surprise to us that our 2-night-stay at Holiday Inn Express Amalty is the most enjoyable stay during our 10 days trip in Amalty. Location is quite good: 12 mins walk to train station, near to restaurant, convinient store. Room is neat & clean, smart design which provide efficiency for such a small space. Basically you have what you need, nothing fancy or extra. They forgot to empty the trashbin from previous stay when we check-in so this must be an overlook part from Housekeeping. Other than that, they responsed fast with our request during our stay like change of pillow type & extra amenities. Reception staff are friendly and helpful, willing to go an extra mile to book a Yandex ride for us when our Yandex got problem.
Breakfast is standard for a 3-star-business hotel, with hot & cold dishes, coffee & tea. I would suggest them to change the brand of Yogurt though as it is terrible. There are so many better affordable yogurt brands from KZ

The service attitude is very bad, especially one of the female front desk staff. When I checked in, the door bolt of the first room fell off. I went to the front desk to ask for a room change, and the woman told me impatiently that there were no extra rooms. But I insisted on changing, and she impatiently changed me to a new room. It feels like they don't consider the customers at all, just want to reduce their work and avoid customers making the most basic requests to them.
The environment is still OK, relatively clean, and the room is relatively small. The table is also small.
There are relatively few choices in the restaurant.
