We had a really nice few days and found the staff really pleasant and happy to help you. The room was surprisingly large and very comfortable. The bed was good we slept well . The menu was very big and I had the Thai dinner and it was the best Thai I have ever had 5star to the chef

Absolutely 5 star. We stayed here for 3 nights the weekend of 25th May. We booked the hotel for our wedding that we were having at the Alnwick Garden, so that our immediate family and wedding party could all stay together. What can I say, all the rooms are stunning, fabulously decorated. Myself and my husband stayed in the Chapel room which was so beautiful. The garden is fantastic, it was perfect for everyone to relax in, and the kids to play and soak up the sun. Celie and the whole team were absolutely amazing, they could not do enough for our stay and made it feel like a real home from home. They even arranged a family style buffet the evening before the wedding so that we could all celebrate together and the food was an absolute hit with adults and kids alike. Thank you so much for making our wedding weekend so perfect, we cannot wait to come back on our anniversary!

Lovely setting and great central accommodation, beautiful old buildings and historical decor, lovely decor in accommodation, though few scratch marks need tidying in main bedroom, window covering needs attention as kept falling off but these are minor things didn’t distract from a comfortable stay.

Really enjoyed our visit to the dirty bottles, great atmosphere in this very old pub, read about the story of the dirty bottles in the window and the mysterious death of the last man who touched them. Great staff on hand to give advice on food. The food was excellent with a great selection of real ales call in give it a go. Book a table to avoid disappointment
