Have stayed here often in that past fifteen years, ideal for a peaceful laid back holiday. Staff are very professional and the food and service is second to none , a golfers hotel but you don’t have play to enjoy this place. Ideal hotel to explore the Algarve from.

Hotel was very clean, breakfast has everything, coffee great. Room was very comfortable and beds are great. Golf course was in the best condition it has been for many years, greens were very quick (too quick for me). But best of all, the staff are so pleasant and accommodating, nothing too much trouble.

Trip date 27th feb to 2nd march Group of 10 We have returned to Penina after a8 year absence and found the course to be in a Very. Good condition dispite all the. Negative reviews in the past few months The championship course was lush and green and the. Greens were well maintained the. 9 golfers enjoyed the course . The hotels was spotlessly clean rooms were as good as ever Also the. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice . Check in was painless very smooth And as ever the staff at the hotel from the front desk to the pro shop were. Pleasant and very helpful and we will be back. In 2025

We’ve recently returned from another very relaxing week of golf at Penina. The Championship course is back to its best with lush fairways and immaculate greens. Although not ultra modern the hotel has so much character and is very comfortable. There is a high standard of friendly service throughout the hotel , from reception to house keeping to dining and to golf shop. We have already booked our return trip.th

No Wifi for android appliances. I was in a large group of golfers. I gave my phone to the front desk who didn't know why the Wifi wasn't working. They said they would escalate the problem. I was there for 6 days and they never got back to me or sorted the problem. Several in my group had the same problem and referred to their personal data during the week. Totally unacceptable for a resort like this.

Penina Hotel is lovely and the staff are fabulous. It might be a little tired but as one guest said to me in the lift - she’s a grand old lady - maybe a little tired, but she gets the job done.
