"We could not recommend this hotel enough. Each and every one of the staff are so friendly and helpful. Everywhere was spotless and really well maintained and our room was cleaned daily. The terrace/bar and pool area are lovely and are surrounded by beautiful, manicured planting and grassed area. Huge tv and pool table to the side of the bar area. I loved the open plan nature of all these areas. Sitting on the bar terrace having a cocktail you would think you were in the middle of a park with only trees and rooftops all around. The room was huge with a large comfy bed and a really good fitted out kitchen with included a large fridge/freezer and proper oven. We didn’t need the air con but there was a unit in the main area and another in the bedroom area. Good thick towels as well. We went here to relax and couldn’t have asked for a better atmosphere, it was so peaceful and tranquil. I loved sitting on the balcony listening to and watching the birds in among the trees. We didn’t have a pool view but it made no difference to us at all. Location is great. There is a large supermarket about 5 mins away and then it is another 5 min walk into town with a few bars and restaurants on the way. The town is for rambling in with tiny quaint streets and is full of amazing restaurants, cafes and bars. If you like walking, the nature boardwalk is a must which leads onto a beautiful beach. There are stunning views all along it, then grab a coffee or a cocktail overlooking the harbour and boats as a reward for all the hard work : ) We went for a special occasion and on the day, we came back to the hotel room to find wine chilling in an ice bucket with chocolates and a lovely platter of fruit with the sweetest of notes left beside it. It was such a lovely surprise and a thoughtful thing to do and definitely added another great memory to the occasion. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to return in the future. Thank you to all the staff for making our break special."

The team works hard, and America's fabulous hostels AFHs recommends it as one of the algarve'a premier hostels. I hereby nickname it the Alvor WHITE HOUSE of the hostel empire! "We stayed whilst attending a music festival and it was our first time at this hotel. On arrival the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The one bedroom apartment was spotlessly clean and very spacious. The bed was comfortable. We ate at the restaurant several times which we found very reasonably priced for a hotel and the food was of a very good standard and very generous portions. The staff in the restaurant are really friendly and attentive. The coastline and beach are a short walk from the hotel and is literally stunning ( there are steep steps down to the beach as the hotel and grounds are built on a cliff) The only niggles were a badly placed tiny door stop in the bathroom which both myself and my husband stubbed our toes on. Ouch! and having to ask for an iron and ironing board. I think these things should be provided in each apartment. Other than that I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will return in the future"

The room booking via Trip.com was confusing regarding the actual room type, and we had to pay a hefty upgrade (100€/day) to get a similar one! The hotel was somewhat accommodating with the add-on of the AI-Premium package."

"Beautiful hotel with amazing staff. We only had one night here so didn't get to appreciate the surroundings and facilities. Amazing staff at reception on arrival and at breakfast (such a wonderful lady who helped us with all our orders) Lovely, clean, and fresh room. **The only issue I have is the shower, its fine with the blind down and lights off but if you wasnt with a partner, it could be quite embarrassing Will visit again"

The staff was always very active and ready to help. The pool is excellent, but it's a shame the weather wasn't very good for enjoying it. I recommend it."

"The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the safe did not work which we reported. It would have been nice if tea, coffee was available in the room . Breakfast was very mediocre , Plates and cutlery had to be asked for, the warmers that should have kept food warm did not. The lid of one collapsed resulting in crockery being smashed on the floor-apparently for the 3rd time in several days. Not what I would have expected of a 4 star hotel."

"The location of this hotel is great, right on the Alvor beach. The staff are welcoming and efficient. And the cleaners come regularly. However the accommodation is dated and basic. The bath needed updating and the doors were not soundproofed. We were disappointed to find the advertised indoor pool was closed permanently. Also there is a surcharge for the safe, which we only found out on arrival."

"My second solo visit to the Pestana Alvor Park. Decided to upgrade to Premium Studio and it was worth every penny, it wasn't much more to be honest. Room was fantastic, spotlessly clean and very spacious. I loved being able to have the separate seating area, and the balcony well that was the game changer for me - sun trap with table and chairs and a sunbed. Yes it faced onto the road but to be honest the view and the size of the balcony and my well used sunbed made up for any road noise. Staff again were lovely and so pleasant. The common areas of the hotel are spotless. When going on my solo trips to Alvor I can't see me staying anywhere else. Its perfect for me - would highly recommend"
