I checked in the night before the hotel officially closed. There was only one other foreign guest and I in the entire hotel. We were assigned the best adjacent sea view room, and there were no discounts on all aspects of the hotel’s services, including breakfast the next day. Too. Every service staff who stayed at their posts was also very warm and friendly. Thank you again! Will definitely come here again in the future. The hotel was renovated and expanded on the basis of retaining the former monastery. In addition to having a sense of age, the design is also excellent. It has an excellent location on the Amalfi coastline. In winter, you can also feel facing the sea and the spring flowers blooming!

We arrived in a cold night but felt warm welcome as soon as we arrived. Really luxury place with professional staff and most importantly very good chef! The food was so nice!

Very good scenery, the service staff and chefs are friendly, and the restaurant's quality is also very high. You can overlook the beautiful Amalfi Coast from morning to night.

Quietly observe the busy port and the crowds of people who come to enjoy the beautiful scenery on the noisy coastal area mountain The hotel’s pizza fried dough is so delicious that you won’t want to leave The interior of the hotel alone is enough for you to walk around and admire. If you have time, why not learn about the history here and the story of the monastery? I will feel that this trip is more worthwhile.

One of the most beautiful hotels but with procedural service hiccups. Pro: 1. Hotel’s 4th floor is a 12th century monastery and 18th century church with an on site archaeologist, which makes this one of the coolest hotels hands down. 2. Beautiful cliff side infinity pool with a lovely and an attentive service staff. I didn’t know the pool closes at 6pm, and the gentleman allowed me some extra time, and I only realized after. He was so kind to let me stay and enjoy the view. When I came back the next day, he even remembered I prefer sparking water! 3. Breakfast had the continental choices as well as local fish and salmon dishes. Super impressive flavoured water options. It was so healthy and concentrated I thought it was more like a health tonic drink than flavoured water! I had chosen the ginger lemon and loved it, but it’s so strong it’s not for everyone. 4. Super impressive staff that are intensely committed to providing amazing service. It is so evident that everyone is doing their absolute best. 5. Pizzaria made by one of the oldest pizza makers family in Naples. I had aZucchini pizza with zucchini flowers, zucchini sauce and fried zucchini! It was delicious! Cons: Compared to Four Seasons, the experience here lacks consistency. I don’t think it’s a staff commi**ent issue, but rather a standard operating procedure issue. Please hire someone to optimize your SOP. 1. When I was checking in, I had my passport in my luggage. They were very kind to take the passport in my room but after waiting 30-45min in my room and no passport back, I had to walk to the reception and ask for it. 2. When I booked the Deluxe Room, Sea View, I had a certain expectation that it would look like the photo. I was given one that’s bigger and with a balcony, but it’s not exactly the same as the photo, and I think that needs to be shown as one of the possible options. I was taken by surprise because I had a certain photo I wanted to take in my mind. The reception did try and had taken me to another room with a similar set up, but it’s the not exactly the same. So I kept my room, and the photo didn’t happen as planned. 3. The shower head switches between the hand held and the rainfall by pulling the knob or pushing the knob. There was no sign on how to use it. When I turned the knob it came off. Imagine that moment that if you had paid for a 1.4K/night hotel and the knob came off. I thought it was broken. I had to go to reception to ask, apparently a lot people couldn’t figure it out, it switches by push or pull. This could be easily fixed by hanging a little paper/ wood sign that’s saids Pull me/Push me to switch. The recption staff said it should’ve been part of the welcome introduction, but I think there was so much information that was already given on the welcome intro, this shouldn’t be part of the introduction. There should be a tiny paper sign even just on the counter. Small details like this really interrupts the experience and drops the confidence a

Hotel is nice with some cool features. The old convent styling flows through everywhere Very comfortable beds and you get a great night sleep Housekeeping is substandard for this level of hotel in my opinion. Rooms and cleaned but I always expect perfection when staying in an Anantara Hotel has a corporate feel to it. This could be because the restrictions the old convent places on the hotel. Rooms are very dark and lack well lit mirrors but great history and feel to them at the same time Staff are friendly and meet you with a smile Food in the hotel is good. The only thing it misses is a simple option. When visiting Italy I love nothing more than simple food done right. Standard of cooking is exception but more fine dining in approach. Beautiful swimming pool Great walks into the town I can see why people adore this hotel and agree it should be a contender for you hotels picks when visiting Amalfi

Anantara Amalfi, renowned for its picturesque location and stunning room views, holds promise for a memorable stay. However, our experience with the staff's service during breakfast and housekeeping has been disappointing. The amateurish approach to service during breakfast indicates a need for comprehensive training and expertise. It's unfortunate that the housekeeping team falls short in basic tasks such as providing essential amenities like tissue and shampoo and properly setting up the bed. These oversights can significantly impact the overall guest experience. While the hotel's location remains favorable and the room views are commendable, such shortcomings detract from its potential. Efficient staff service and meticulous housekeeping are fundamental pillars of a satisfying hotel experience. In light of your feedback, addressing these areas of improvement could elevate the hotel's rating from a mediocre 4/10 to a more commendable level. Anantara Amalfi has the opportunity to enhance its reputation and ensure that guests receive the high-quality service they expect and deserve. Gautam Khanna
