Nice building in a privileged position but there it ends unfortunately. We spent five nights here and were well ready to move on. Our bedroom was large but sp****ly furnished with furniture in poor condition. The mattress could well have been from the 18th century and filled with horse hair. The en-suite badly needs updating, we were climbing in and out of a corner bath and having to sit down to shower with a handheld shower head head because there was no curtain or shower head holder, not a great experience and how anyone older than ourselves manage, God only knows. The breakfast was most disappointing, worst 4 star offering we have ever come across. Three choices of bread, two types of pastry’s, small box of CoCo Pops or fruit salad consisting of apple, apple and oh yes…apple. Three fruit juices, tea & Coffee. Your only choice of hot food was freshly cooked eggs, boiled or fried! We were allowed out onto the exterior breakfast balcony one day out of the five. “Happy to help” staff would have been nice, don’t get me wrong, they did what we asked but it seemed to us that it hurt them to do it. Four star position with 2 star interior.
