Hotel Residence

Lovely room with fantastic view. Superior room or higher preferred. Staff was amazing, from reception to restaurant. No comments. Everything was always on point! I don’t see any other hotels so I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Loved our trip to Amalfi.

Amazing hotel. Great Location directly around the big marketplace and facing the sea. We loved the fact that they kept the original features but updated to a high standard like electronic keys. Super friendly staff. Breakfast was served on the terrace with sea views.. you could order different hot breakfasts and they had a little buffett with pastries, fruits and things. If you have a car, there is a garage some walking minutes away (connected by an underground tunnel).

Everything about Hotel Residence was an amazing experience. From check in to check out and everything in between. First, this hotel is one of the cleanest hotels I have visited; staff is pleasant, had great recommendations - what a great visit. Breakfast was excellent with an amazing veranda with an awesome view.The area is extremely busy with lots of traffic. It was a little noisy at night nothing that kept us a awake. It was the most convenient location, taxi's right outside the door, beach in walking distance, ferry in the area and walk to the main *****. Location, location, location. If I had one complaint, it would be I booked 4 rooms for 4 couples, and 3 were booked standard and I booked 1 sea view, I paid $400 euro more and the other 3 rooms and they were upgraded to a sea views. I was happy and thrilled for the other 3 couples, but I felt a little cheated. You live and learn. Stay here - awesome experience on a budget.

Hotel Residence was a beautiful hotel eight iff the main street, we could on our balcony and watch the ferries take off and see the beautiful ocean. It was like a dream, the staff were wonderful and so helpful and the room was beautiful and looked like it had been recently renovated, the breakfast buffet was delicious and we could sit and look out at the beautiful ocean. It was right in the middle of Amalfi, where we could walk out the front door,turn right and the Piazza was right there with shops, restaurants and the beautiful Duomo. There could not be a better hotel to stay in that was so beautiful right n the middle of everything. If you are in Amalfi, stay at the Hotel Residence, you will love it!!

Excellent hotel with excellent service ! The staff are all kind and go out to great lengths to make the guests’ experience special !

The location is near the transport

Nice building in a privileged position but there it ends unfortunately. We spent five nights here and were well ready to move on. Our bedroom was large but sparsely furnished with furniture in poor condition. The mattress could well have been from the 18th century and filled with horse hair. The en-suite badly needs updating, we were climbing in and out of a corner bath and having to sit down to shower with a handheld shower head head because there was no curtain or shower head holder, not a great experience and how anyone older than ourselves manage, God only knows. The breakfast was most disappointing, worst 4 star offering we have ever come across. Three choices of bread, two types of pastry’s, small box of CoCo Pops or fruit salad consisting of apple, apple and oh yes…apple. Three fruit juices, tea & Coffee. Your only choice of hot food was freshly cooked eggs, boiled or fried! We were allowed out onto the exterior breakfast balcony one day out of the five. “Happy to help” staff would have been nice, don’t get me wrong, they did what we asked but it seemed to us that it hurt them to do it. Four star position with 2 star interior.
