Hotel West Court Amami

A hotel in the center of Naze. Business hotel style, the rooms are quite spacious. There is a convenience store that doubles as a souvenir shop nearby. It is also close to downtown, so you will have no trouble finding something to eat and drink. There is also an airport access bus stop on the premises. This hotel is very convenient in many ways. There is a new wing of the same hotel nearby, and it seems that you can use the large public bath there, but it is a hassle to go there just to take a bath. This hotel does not have a large public bath. Breakfast is served buffet style from 6:30. It is not very regional. There is only vinegared mozuku sea****. I think the contents are quite typical for a business hotel buffet.

A business hotel located in the center of Amami Oshima. It is convenient because it is close to bus stops, izakayas, and convenience stores. It was compact room, but everything was prepared and was not inconvenient. Since there is a large public bath, I did not use the unit bath in the room. It's clean overall, and there's no problem at all at a reasonable price. Breakfast was a buffet, and I was surprised to be able to eat chicken rice by myself. The recommended izakayas for dinner are all popular restaurants, and you can't enter unless you make a reservation in advance.

It is a hotel that opened in 2018 and still feels new. The overall impression is that of a "stylish" business hotel, without luxury, but with a sense of cleanliness. I went on a tour with two people, but I couldn't get a twin room, so I used two single rooms. Most of the participants were so, so maybe there are few twin rooms? The rooms are clean and well stocked with amenities. The room's own air conditioner works well, but the noise of the air purifier interferes with sleep, so I turned it off at midnight. In terms of location, it is convenient because there are restaurants such as "Yanigawa Street" and "123 Mart", which is convenient for souvenirs, nearby.

20 seconds walk from the nearest bus stop. Even though I knew it was near, I was at a loss as to which direction to walk. I was helped by the GPS function of my smartphone. It's a new hotel, so it was clean and comfortable. The refrigerator in the room does not have a freezer, but I used it because I could procure ice. There are vending machines, but there are very few types, so I procured them on the way home from dinner. It's a hot area, so I'd appreciate it if you could buy drinks easily. The location is close to the downtown area of ​​the city, so you don't have to worry about restaurants. It's not a city, so there weren't many drunken people making a fuss, so it didn't disturb my sleep. We could hear the guests in the hallway, so don't expect too much soundproofing.

I stayed one night in my house and each in a single room. There were a lot of beards left in the washroom in my wife's room, so I asked them to clean it again, but it was also appropriate, so I was very offended. Not recommended.

The room was spacious and well cleaned. There were two carrying cases for one or two nights, so it was a pity that the stand was small and only one could be unfolded. Because it is in the center of the city, it is convenient to go out for dinner. There was a large public bath at a nearby affiliated hotel and it was possible to use it, but it was troublesome to wear it in winter, so I finished it in the bath in my room. The bathroom was large and convenient. Breakfast was delicious with the famous chicken rice. I thought it was a good hotel because a tour group from a major travel agency was also staying there.

Located in the city, it was very convenient. The car was also taken in and out, and my request was met. It was helpful to be able to use the large public bath at the affiliated hotel next door.

When I had to go to Amami Oshima in a hurry with a Japan Airlines award ticket, I chose this hotel because of the good reviews. There are many hotels with similar appearances in the center of Naze City, and it was a little difficult to find, so I asked West Court I about the location (the front desk here was also very pleasant). The front desk was very polite and pleasant. Of course, the breakfast was well-prepared for corona measures, but there were many types of local dishes from Amami, so it was hard to choose. The room was clean and well equipped. However, one disappointing thing is that there are many tall buildings around, so the view from the room is... It was a one-night stay, but it was a very memorable stay.

This was my first time in Amami, and I chose this hotel because I thought it would be best to enter from Naze. It is also the departure and arrival point for the Shima Bus, and has good access to important spots such as the bar district and the Amami Tourism Network. I don't like small rooms (single 13m2), so I requested a twin room even though I was alone. I was surprised that the 13,000 yen including breakfast was the same price as Native Sea Amami (Tatsugo), but it can't be helped. There were some negative points such as the window in the room not being cleaned (sea side), the strange smell from the refrigerator, the large public bath being a bit dark (it can't be helped), and the front desk giving me the wrong restaurant where I could eat "chicken rice", so I gave it 3 points. Even for a twin room for single use, it should be around 9,000 yen.
