Stayed for two nights in this beautiful country hotel. A very warm welcome on arrival and then shown to a beautiful large room, The Kedleston. It had everything you could wish for and a very comfortable bed. I was staying to visit relatives nearby but it would make an excellent base for exploring the area. Kedleston Hall, National Trust is on the doorstep and a must to visit. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, I didn’t eat in the evenings but the menu looked really good and if breakfast was anything to go on it will be fabulous. I will definitely return to stay and also take my family to the restaurant. Thank you to all your excellent staff for a very enjoyable stay.

We have a lovely stay at the Kedleston house while attending a wedding near by. Room was nicely spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was cooked on order and the portions were quite generous. Ample parking on the way.
To the usual old country home style the rooms were heated quite warm, which created a nice cosy environment against the british autumn weather outside. However for some it might make it a bit too warm to sleep well.
The house is also surprisingly close to a road, which if your room was on the road side and you are a light sleeper, could cause some issues.
We're looking to come back again in the future to visit Kedleston hall, which is easily accessible just across the road.

Food (evening meal and breakfast) was excellent. Restaurant and bar staff friendly and efficient. Sadly, our stay was ruined by the two evening events which took place on the night of our stay. We were only informed about the events when we checked in. It was impossible to get away from the guests for our pre-dinner drinks: we requested to use the snug but were not allowed to so we were forced to sit by the external door which was in constant use on a cold night. The music was unnecessarily loud and went on after 11pm despite our being assured at check in that it would end on the dot of 11.
