Lacet House

We had a fabulous time here for my husband’s birthday. Shaun and Louise are amazing hosts really go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The location is great with the bus stop across the road (we got the 599 to visit Windermere and Keswick). Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and hopefully we will be back!!!

Really friendly, warm welcome from the hosts. Beautiful room, spotlessly clean and warm, comfy bed and amazing shower (room 4)! Breakfast was superb, great choice of excellently prepared food. You will not go hungry, the "lite bites" selections were very substantial! Excellent central location to start walks from, shop or head out for an evening meal in Ambleside without needing to get in the car. We would highly recommend Lacet House.

Large spacious rooms with comfy beds, very clean too, location was close to the centre of Ambleside, fantastic hosts , Louise and Shaun were lovely people, and the best English breakfast I’ve had. Would highly recommend.

What a lovely stay we had at Lacet House. 3 nights up to and including new years eve. Probably the cleanest and friendliest place we've stayed in. Lovely big comfortable bed, in a perfectly decorated room. In the centre of Ambleside. Breakfast was the best too, delivered to our table by a very friendly Louise. This made a difference. We'll stay again, no problem.

Myself and my wife stayed here in November 2023 for 3 nights. We loved our stay here. The location is amazing and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast filled us up for the day. Lovely hosts too. They helped us with recommending some hiking trails around Ambleside. I would highly recommend this B&B.

Lovely b&b and owners. Great location close to lots of nice restaurants and pubs. Room was bright, clean and comfortable. On-site parking as well which which is a bonus in the area - not a lot of properties have this. Would definitely return :)

Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely B&B. Shaun & Louise take great care of the property & their guests. Very nice room with coffee & tea making facilities, comfy bed & great shower room. A very nice touch in having a large ‘tray’ to put shoes & muddy boots on. First class breakfast with plenty of choices from continental style to full English. The property is central with a great selection of pubs, restaurants & shops within a few minutes walk. Plenty of hiking for all levels straight from the door. Shaun & Louise are very knowledgeable about the area & take a genuine interest in your plans for the day. There’s even private parking at the property for guests which is invaluable in this village at busy times. We wouldn’t have any reservations in recommending Lacet House to our friends & family, we thought it very good value for money in Ambleside.
