Hotels with Bars in Amritsar

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Amritsar for 2 nights 30 /31 May as part of a Mercury Holidays tour group. All the hotels used were excellent but the Hyatt stood out because of the attentive nature and politeness of all the staff members. They could not do enough for us. The greeting was exceptionally warm and friendly and we were made to feel special right from the moment we got off the bus. Everything was well organised and the whole experience was wonderful, stress free and relaxing. Everyone was so helpful and the service so prompt and personal. Too ***y staff to compliment from door attendants, greeters, receptionists, luggage handlers, restaurant personnel and room cleaners all deserve more than 10 out of 10. I have probably missed out some roles for which I apologise. If I had to select two names it would be Sonali on greeting. She has a smile to die for (see photo attached) and so helpful and informative. She told us all about the Golden Temple what to look for to get the full experience and showed us a flavour of what to expect there at night and during the day and at the closing of the border ceremony via the hotel information video. She also advised us on the security arrangements at sites and what not to take ( eg cigarette lighters) and expected dress codes. Nothing was too much trouble for this lady and her colleagues. The other person would be Bandano who worked in the pastry shop. I was looking for some of our tour party and another tour group had just arrived so the greeters were very busy in the foyer and she just came over and asked if she could help and pointed out where our people had gone. This demonstrates the team work between all departments and why the service at this hotel is exceptional. I have travelled a lot on business and have stayed in some top class world ranked hotels and this is one of the best due mainly to the genuine attentive nature of the staff and their willingness to help. Nothing was too much trouble.

This is a wonderful hotel, amazing staff who are truly attentive to all your needs. Rooms are well appointed, immaculate and very comfortable.

The room size is wow!! Very unlike the ordinary room of a five star hotel...the room has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. I will definitely come back again. It is on Queen's Road and very close to the Golden Temple (10 minutes away)...the road to the airport is also very straight. So no traffic problems at all. Very good breakfast. Overall it was a great stay and I highly recommend... a 3 star hotel that runs like any 4 star hotel.

One of the best hotels I have stayed so far. Fairfield by marriot has kept up to its brand name of Marriot. 👌Smooth check in process 👌Excellent service 👌 Huge spread of scrumptious breakfast. Staff also serve your choice of food item, apart from the breakfast buffet. 👌 Quick Room service 👌 Hospitable staff 👌 Clean rooms Tbh, I found the rooms small for a triple sharing basis. Apart from that, everything else was magnificent.

The hotel is next to the airport and it is also convenient to take a taxi to the city centre. The hotel restaurant is doing a good job. The hotel room is large and comfortable to live in. Amrit is only a golden temple to see, take a taxi from the hotel in the morning, and come back in the afternoon.

The hotel is very close to Golden Temple, almost just across. Rooms are reasonable but the one which we got had no window or provision for natural light. Staff is very polite and helpful. Food is excellent and room service efficient. Travel desk is ***ned by a thoroughly professional gentle***. Overall, if you are focused on golden temple, a great place to stay. Few drawbacks. Breakfast, supposed to start at 8 am, barely starts by 830 am. Very poor quality wifi. So not a place for combining work with holiday. Airport cabs refuse to take to the hotel, saying its not permitted by police which is an utter lie. Hotel should call clients in advance and inform them about it or better still, arrange cabs without extra charge. I am sure they are losing clients due to this. As for me, despite all this, I enjoyed my stay there.

The hotel is pretty close to main areas and not bang in the noise.The restaurant serves great brunch and we found the best Amritsar kulcha here,itself. The rooms are clean and we got an upgrade at checkin. The hotel has standard amenities and a small pool with gym at the top of the hotel. The only sour note was probably how the hotel measures it staff perfor***ce. The ***ager of the coffee shop and the waiters were insistent that we give good feedback. It seems the praise is being pushed which we would have given any how. The second unprofessional thing was that our flights were in the evening and we asked for late checkout. The front desk seemed amused and were playing with us. This is not professional. I would recommend the food even if its price (a la carte) is significantly higher.

The hotel rooms are spacious and the facilities are nice and clean. The surrounding environment is acceptable and the service staff is polite. Close to the airport, there is a free shuttle to the sights in the city.

The sound insulation effect is not good. Someone in the night next party opened the party and the hotel staff repeatedly stressed that it still failed to effectively persuade it.
