Albus Hotel Amsterdam City Centre

We visited Amsterdam for 6 days and stayed at the Albus. It is a very nice hotel. Very central location, great service, nice bar. They will setup any tours you want. We stayed in a suite, which I highly recommend. Two bathrooms, fantastic showers. The only downsides are poor wifi and so-so buffet breakfast.

We have recently returned from a 4 night stay at the Albus Hotel. The hotel is very well situated to be able to see all the main attractions of Amsterdam, either walkable or by getting on a tram. The nearest tram stop is only a 3 minute walk away. Our room was fairly small, with a balcony, however, it had everything required for a short stay. The only slight negative was the rain shower could run with water a bit better. The common areas of the hotel have had a recent refresh and were extremely pleasant. All the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we came back to Amsterdam.

Stayed here for 6 nights during late March 2024. This is a modern hotel in a fantastic location. A few steps from the flower market and Munt Tower. A short walk away from Rembrandtplein, wherefrom one can catch Tram 4 and 14 to go to the Central Station and various tourist attractions. Numerous restaurants within easy walking distance and there is a convenience store which stays open late just across the road. Please note that the road in front has tram lines but as of now no trams are running on this route. Like the rest of the hotel our room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Room size was decent and bathroom quite large with a specious shower cubicle. Bed was super comfortable. Room came with coffee arrangements, safe and TV. Upon request, the staff provided tea facility also. Bathroom had all the necessary toiletries. Tea, coffee, toiletries all got replenished regularly. Wi-fi worked perfectly and although the hotel has only one elevator, we didn't have to wait for too long. Breakfast gets served at the attached Senses restaurant and was quite good with a lot of choices. Unfortunately I found the layout bit confusing and didn't appreciate the way fried eggs were kept over one another. The mostly young staffs were all very polite and helpful. They tried their best to make our stay comfortable. Although some renovation work was still ongoing during our stay, we didn't face any difficulties. We did face one difficulty during our stay, no place to keep body wash or shampoo bottles inside the shower cubicle. The reception staff told us after a few reminders that they have ran out of the tray which is supposed to be fixed there. Nonetheless, we still enjoyed our stay and do recommend this hotel.

For a city centre hotel this hotel is fantastic. Central location to all the museums and squares etc. Young friendly staff that came across very professional. You can see the hotel is currently in change and upgraded their internal

A friend of ours recommended the Albus for our first time in Amsterdam. We are extremely pleased with our stay. Room was clean, staff are helpful and friendly. We weren’t sure what to expect, but as sooon as we walked in we knew we were going to like it. We will stay here again.

It said 4 star hotel but I think it was not. The room was too small and breakfast was not that good either, although the location was fine. And, I booked to pay for 3 rooms at the hotel, but it had already been paid for all and that's why I had lots of talk to cancel and paid again by my colleagues in business trip with me.

Hello Albus Family December 10, 2023 was my first visit to Amsterdam and I stayed at the The Albus Hotel, I stayed in your hotel and apartments for about 3 months and I would like to thank the beautiful ,sincere and excellent Hotel Owner Mrs. Patty, her family and all her personal , who helped me in everything that made me feel like I was at home. I would like to thank Jeff, Nina, Raymond, Danik, Sanah and other friends whose names I cannot remember, they all have a special place in my heart, their sincere interest in customers, their ability to find solutions to everything immediately, their friendship, their interest, their meticulousness and their help in every way. Their support is incredible, this cannot be explained, it must be experienced. Everything is very nice, very clean, carefully furnished and designed, every room is perfect, aparts are beautyful the beds are very comfortable and cozy, in one word, it is a perfect hotel. I have never seen such attention, such sincerity and sincere hotel and management. Thank you very much. I wish you continued success. The hotel is in a good location, clean bedroom and bathroom and quiet at night even at front of hotel. Comfy, large bed. The pillows are very large and deep, I asked for flat one but there is just the one choice. There is coffee machine in room with pods. Take your travel kettle if you want tea! The hotel is fairly close to lots of attractions, walkable, or there is tram stop 5 mins walk away at Rembrandt Square, which takes you to Central area, and train station. We didn’t eat dinner in hotel as it looked as though there was only a 4 course option available at 69€. There are lots of dinner options nearby. Breakfast could be improved. When items run out they are not replenished quickly, if at all. I was told on 2nd day that fresh fruit salad was gone and there would be no replenishment, at 9am! Also, taxis are expensive. We paid 45€ for taxi from Central station to hotel, 2 miles away! If you ask hotel to order you an early morning taxi to airport, check it’s been done as ours wasn’t booked! It would be nice if hotel staff could wear name badges. Nothing to do with hotel but there is a 5 week wait for tickets to Anne Frank House, so we missed out. Amsterdam is a lovely clean, friendly, safe city. Would recommend.
