very special under many aspects. Its beauty, its perfect location for visitors , its amazing staff … From breakfast time till the after diner genever at the bar, we appreciated the cool and elegant a**osfere of the Ambassade . We’ll come back for sure!

Stayed here on a last-minute solo trip. Staff was very friendly and attentive. After a long day and long flight, I was prepared to drop off my luggage and head to my tour, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that my room was already ready. The room was very clean and tidy. Stairs were a bit steep on the way to my room, but totally fine if I went slowly.

We were very impressed by the friendly young receptionist, Matje who check us in and gave us all the useful information abt Amsterdam. William who helped us with the luggage and provided s with more useful tips. Thank you both! The room is canal facing and very charming and full of character. There are lots of stairs to climb and the layout of the room doesn't provide much space for luggage. Guess that's the price for staying in an old building!

Had a magnificent 4 night stay at the Ambassade. Situated across a picturesque canal , the location was perfect, the staff friendly and knowledgeable , the rooms clean and spacious and the breakfast delicious and plentiful. The hotel was actually sold out when we first inquired but as soon as a room opened up the staff was quickly responsive and able to accommodate. If you are looking for a first class boutique hotel with charm and ambiance look no further. I can’t wait to visit this charming city again and stay at my new favorite hotel. It made our trip that much more special.

Nice hotel in a great location. There are beautiful artworks every where you turn. I found the staff at the hotel very professional and helpful. There is a bar called the Library Bar, it is a cozy place to relax and unwind. There is also a French-accented restaurant--Brasserie Ambassade--attached to the hotel. The food was excellent and the staff, with one exception, were great. There was a bearded fellow serving wine (sommelier?) who was rude and nasty. He was the only unpleasant note in an otherwise wonderful stay at Hotel Ambassade.

Easily a best stay in Amsterdam! The elegant, beautiful hotel and scenic views of classic canal panoramas are only bested by the location to walk around the 9 Little Streets area. Friendly, knowledgeable, local staff. Will definitely recommend to friends!

So pleased we choose the Ambassade Hotel for our 2 night trip to Amsterdam. Excellent location for easy walking to all major attractions. Booked a canal view room, which made the stay more special. Could not fault the room had all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Newly refurbished bathroom very modern and a good size. We requested a bath and pleased to be given one. Had breakfast and enjoyed dinner in the restaurant on Kings Day. Good quality food in a lovely setting. The best thing about the Ambassade is the staff. Every member, friendly, helpful and could not do enough for you. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Amsterdam and if we go again would stay at the Ambassade. Thank you all!

This was our fifth stay at the Ambassade and we look forward to another stay soon. The hotel has a wonderful location and the canal rooms are beautiful. We spent many hours just sitting by the windows watching the boats pass by and the city awakening. Staff is lovely. William, who has been there 17 years, is amazing. Helpful, sweet and funny. Restaurant was expensive and very poor. We were four people and all of our meals were mediocre at best. Rooms are expensive, but well worth it.
