XO Hotels Blue Square Reviews

We encountered some difficulties locating this hotel due to its distant location from the city center. It took us approximately 30 minutes to travel from the hotel to Amsterdam Central. Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were informed that they were offline and unable to check us in. They had no estimate for when their system would be back online. During our stay, there was an incident where two males entered my daughter's room. This occurred because the staff at the reception had mistakenly marked the room as unoccupied in the system. Although the hotel apologized and offered us a complimentary breakfast, the incident left us feeling uncomfortable and concerned. Housekeeping was also inconsistent, with some mornings where the rooms were not cleaned properly. Additionally, we discovered a dead cockroach in our room. We found it on day 1, and after 5 nights in this hotel, it was still lying on the carpet, indicating that housekeeping did not vacuum our room once during our 5-day stay. Also, some of our towels were dirty. Despite the rooms being relatively spacious, the hotel's location is unfavorable. Consequently, I would not recommend this hotel.

I had such a wonderful experience staying at the XO Blue Square! The staff's honesty and exceptional service truly made my stay exceptional.

Nice and clean room, a bit far to the center area but near with public transport. There is car parking as well

Service of the reception staff was great. Rooms were in good condition, had a room without a bath, and changed to a room with a bath without any problems. I would gladly go back because of tram/bus service to town and most available in same area. Just a shame they charged us 5 Euros for an hour earlier check in. There's a non smoking and no bar/ restaurant but plenty around the hotel. All in all a fat 9.....

Great location, quiet and clean room, will choose it for the next time.

20-30 minutes from central by bus. But the location near to halal food.

Pretty good hotel for a pennie in Amsterdam West. Good equipped but could be cleaner and the clima is very loud. All in All solid.

close to trams, food delivery easy, friendly staff 24/7 at front desk. bathroom walls could've been a little cleaner and the windows don't open unfortunately so it was hard to get fresh air

The location was amazing. The hotel had all basic amenities and we enjoyed our stay comfortably

Although a little far from the city center, in 20-ish minutes you can get to Centraal or Leidseplein. The hotel staff was super nice and the amenities were as expected. Overall a pleasant experience.

Very pleasant stay with a very comfortable and spacious room!!

The room I stayed in for the first and second days was clean and quiet. The room I stayed in after traveling to Germany and Switzerland had cleaning noises at night and the sheets were pilled.
