I’ve visited Amsterdam about 7-8 times and sadly, the Pulitzer is the only lodging I would not revisit. It’s a hotel I’ve walked by often and admired from outside, but the exterior promise did not meet the interior experience. Problem is, it’s not luxury and it’s not boutique. It seems to cater to cruise ship passengers and business meetings, with little attention to detail or service. Check in experience was a mess, esp when all the benefits promised at time of booking did not materialize. The rooms themselves are comfortable yet basic- I did not get the room category booked due to “the hotel being very full at the moment”. Don’t voice any disagreements with your room or reservation; the front desk has a way of retribution with an even worse room if possible. I’m sure many people have an excellent experience at this hotel; on this occasion I was traveling as a single older person and the trea**ent was dismissive at best. Luckily, Amsterdam has many hotel choices in this category, many of which I’d like to revisit, soy stay at the Pulitzer was at least educational.

Good, but priced too high. Amsterdam infrastructure is way too old (and old-fashioned) to be priced the way the hotel is, regardless how nice the interior is. I’ve had comparable (if not, better) experiences in plenty of other lesser-starred hotels around Europe for HALF the price of Pulitzer. Don’t get it twisted though, Pulitzer is GREAT, but in the European hotel market, it’s way too expensive.

The Pulitzer Amsterdam is a lovely boutique hotel. The charm extends from the welcoming entry throughout the entire hotel. The ambiance is enhanced by not only the furnishings but by the friendliness of the staff. I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

Wonderful beauty in the heart of Jordan in Amsterdam. Immaculate, quiet and beautifully decorated. Service was deserving of their 5 Star status. On site restaurant had outstanding food and service. The staff were quietly attentive. Our room overlooked one of the garden areas and we were able to open our window and listen to birds singing which is quite a treat in a busy city!

Truly an amazing hotel. My wife and I had a great experience here. The front desk and bar staff were top notch. This is a hotel that lives up to the ratings. 10/10 without question. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect.
Comfortable bed, wonderful Bar (and staff, especially Lily) . They overheard it was our anniversary and surprised us with champagne and chocolates in our room. They really made our trip special.
Will be back for sure. Our new stop in wonderful Amsterdam
