Hotel Mercier

Good location and easily accessible by tram. Hotel just near the canal.

We (couple) picked this hotel dure to the fact that is was just far enough from the busy street to be quiet but close enough that everything is walkable. Room was command clean. Breakfast had very good options with out it being to many. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

A little gem in the heart of the canals. As soon as you enter you are captured by beauty and the staff is gentle, smiling and helpful. The rooms are not only beautiful but clean, large and efficiently equipped. We wish we could find a place like the Mercier in every city! It makes you wish to go back to Amsterdam soon !

My check in experience was terrible. I was given most likely the smallest and nosiest room in the hotel, and the manager was reluctant to give me another room. She came across as uncaring and standoffish. The clerk at the front desk was great. So…nice hotel, questionable management, nice people working at the front desk. Overall expensive and not worth to have the type of experience I had. I do not recommend it and will nit stay here in the future.

Excellent location. The room was smallish but pleasant, the bar is charming, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The elevator kept breaking down, but that is minor. A great place to stay In Amsterdam.

The hotel was beautifully decorated and in the perfect location! Located in the beautiful area of Jordaan near a lot of great local shops/restaurants/cafes, plus it was just off of a beautiful area of the canals. The hotel is within walking distance to all tourist sites and public transit. Camila, at reception, was wonderful and gave great advice of what to do and see during my trip! She was truly wonderful and went above and beyond - the hotel is lucky to have such a fantastic team member! When I return to Amsterdam, I plan on staying again and would definitely recommend to any of my friends and family! Don't stay anywhere else!

Hi, I just wanted to say that we had the most amazing stay at Hotel Mercier. First of all, the staff could not have been more amazing. Angelina was simply delightful and so helpful. She was cheerful and always took so much time to answer our questions. She could not have been a better representative of Hotel Mercier. The young girl who worked the night of April 5 (whose name I forgot) was also the same- so hospitable and kind. The bar staff was amazing as well. The hotel was so charming and the location could not have been more perfect. It is centrally located in Jordaan, the most beautiful district in Amsterdam, amongst wonderful shops, food, and culture. We were so glad to have chosen a hotel in this area as it was outside all of the touristy areas but still so easy to get everywhere. I believe this is the true spirit of Amsterdam. The hotel itself was BEAUTIFUL. The rooms were spacious and clean and it was a perfect place for a family of 4 with connecting rooms. I cannot more highly recommend Hotel Mercier. As a frequent world traveler, this was one of the best places we have ever stayed. We felt right at home. We are sad to leave and looks forward to our return.
