Hotel is in a great location, nice feel to the place but rooms can be stuffy and a bit dark depending on locations.

Stayed 4 nights. Comfortable room although no seperate bathroom. View onto lovely garden which would be amazing in warm weather. Excellent location with loads of bars and restaurants within walking distance but pleasantly quiet. Friendly staff. Breakfast OK. Reasonable price. Would stay again.

Beautiful and romantic property - easily walkable.

What a beautiful hotel. The staff treated us like royalty, we had a canal facing suite, three double windows. Right in the middle of Jordaan, so walking distance to the best restaurants and bars, or on the free hotel bikes. Breakfast in bed, the whole experience was simply exceptional. I can’t recommend enough.

This hotel was one of the best I have ever stayed at! Not only were the rooms beautiful - beds so comfortable, amazing shower, great products, and amazing view, but the staff was amazing! Hallia, Arik, Jovan, Tony and the entire staff made us feel so at home. Every morning and night we were greeted by the most pleasant staff who helped recommend and schedule some of our favorite meals and activities. And I cannot forget the amazing breakfast - so well staffed and delicious! HIGHLY recommend this hotel…will be back!

This historic building has been renovated into a unique hotel, the kind I look for when traveling. The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed, and the staff members were first rate! They are very attentive and will even explain the history of the building. I would absolutely stay here again. Keep in mind you will need to negotiate short flights of stairs here and there, even if you use the lift.

My sister and I stayed here and had the absolute best time! Our room was upgraded when we arrived, and the views of the canal were stunning! The location was superb too - right in the heart of Jordaan with a bunch of places to shop, eat, and stroll! We walked all day long and got to really explore the neighborhood. EVERYTHING is walkable from the Canal House! Everything. The rooms are cozy and classy. Bathrooms were very modern and updated. The hotel itself is a very old home, with beautiful halls and a stunning great room. It was boutique and felt luxurious. Location and physicality aside, Canal House has the best concierge / staff in all of Amsterdam! Not only were they knowledgeable of the area and made us reservations, but they were so friendly and entertaining!!! Eduardo is an absolute gem. He was so helpful and entertained us at the bar for hours!! He and the rest of the staff made this place so memorable! If you’re looking to stay in Amsterdam, look no further. We will be cherishing these memories, harbored at the Canal House, for the rest of our lives. Don’t pass it up!
