Banks Mansion - All Inclusive Boutique Hotel

The staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and our 'Comfy' room, adequate. Our room flooded and we were given an upgrade. Frankly, our first room was better appointed and not such an odd shape. Breakfast was a let down. The choice was limited and not great quality as the cold meats, smoked salmon and viennoiserie were poor. They had a 'live' cooking section for eggs. Everything was overcooked and the space reeked of browning butter. However, the staff were lovely and the 24/7 bar was a welcome touch.

Fantastic service and brilliant attentive and caring staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Perfect location and excellent amenities in the hotel ; all in all the perfect place to stay in Amsterdam. Rooms were really clean and well maintained and the breakfast was excellent and the concept of no extras in the hotel is fabulous.

Fantastic stay at Banks Mansion. Quirky hotel. Great location. Near to lots of things. Everything is within a few minutes walk. Lovely food cooked how you want it. a Great drinks to help yourself to. Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms with nice big beds.

Excellent hotel and certainly once I’d recommend for you to try. The hotel is clean, unique, all inclusive (in a way you wouldn’t think), staff are lovely, and the location is amazing - 5 min walk and you’re in the centre. Also the hotel is opposite the mayors house.

Good central Amsterdam location, inclusive of breakfast + snacks + drinks. Very comfortable — even offers a pillow menu.

Excellent location for both metro & tram stops and to get around on foot. Most of staff very friendly and helpful. Open bar all day however if prefer wine you will not be able to access this until 4pm so no opportunity for a lunchtime wine but you could have all the spirits & beer which I found odd. Bedroom good size , bed very comfy , bathroom good size but some of grouting a bit stained . Towels changed daily and nice and white . Rooms quiet even on canal side. Breakfast ok - expected more of it after reading previous reviews . Breakfast room is in the basement so no natural light so felt a bit cave like . Omelette & scrambled basically the same- both were scrambled ! No option for poached eggs . Coffee from self service machine but tasted ok. Lounge area in style of art deco but furniture was quite tired . Some cushions and seating pads were threadbare, woodwork chipped and generally needs a spruce up. The cheese trolley served an hour a day (5-6pm) is one of the hotel’s USP but nothing to shout home about. The trolley itself is battered and tbh looked a bit grimy . Cheese is served in 1cm cubes with penny sized pieces of salami or tiny slices of pie, a bit of a disappoin**ent. The hotel is much pricier than surrounding ones because of the free bar & cheese trolley but tbh I didn’t think worth the extra cost especially as city tax has recently increased to 12.5% so that impacts on cost of stay with his room rate being higher to start with . Expect to pay an additional €50/ day because of the city tax . I enjoyed my stay but missed having an outdoor area to sit to enjoy the lovely weather we experienced whilst there . Enjoyed our stay but I’ll probably look for a different hotel with outdoor space on my return visit .

Super friendly staff who couldnt do enough for you. Really comfy beds, breakfast range was huge and tasty and all drinks were included in the evenings. an all round fantastic experience staying at the bank mansions hotel and so central to all the museums and sights - would thoroughly recommend
