There is an excellent hotel in a beautiful mansion on the Prinsengracht. The staff is very friendly and happy to take the time to answer all your questions. The room is beautifully decorated with a classic design that fits seamlessly with the historic ambiance of the building. The welcome drink in the attractive and intimate restaurant was much appreciated. In short, a wonderful experience.

The hotel's service is perfect. The canal is right outside the door, and there is a bus stop next to it, making transportation extremely convenient. The service is good and the rooms are OK. It is a private B&B hotel. Disadvantages: Breakfast is 47.5 euros, which is too expensive! Just bread, a salmon and eggs. I still recommend five-star hotels and chain hotels where you can eat whatever you want.

Beautiful hotel, in a great location! So close to the centre of Amsterdam and easy to walk everywhere you need to go. The refurb is stunning and I really love the decor/styling of the hotel, it feels very luxury.
Only negatives were the size of the room, the lack of pillow options perhaps and the products in the bathroom were really high and difficult to use. The shower gel bottle was broken and made it very difficult to get product out of it. Also the instructions in the bathroom are wrong for the shower heads.
Service was absolutely fantastic though, the team at 717 are all super friendly and go out their way to help!

I was fortunate to stay at Hotel 717 twice in May for business. The hotel is in a charming building overlooking the canals in a central area close to all the museums and restaurants. The staff were all amazing and friendly. After a long 10 hr flight from Los Angeles, I was grateful to the staff for helping me with an early check in so that I can freshen up for my meetings. I was able to connect with one of the Butler/Doorman Tri Nguyen who was very nice to talk with. He shared his knowledge of the city, the culture of the people and was very helpful. There is a small kitchen that serves a nice menu for breakfast and drinks in the evening. The rooms are clean, spacious and nicely decorated. I highly recommend and would stay again.

I have been to so many boutique hotels in my life, but this is definitely one of the best I have ever stayed in. A welcome that could not have been warmer, the beautifully decorated rooms, the tranquil garden where you can hear the birds singing while sipping on a glass of perfectly chilled rosé (that‘s me sipping, not the birds ;-) )… Located in probably one of the most charming areas in Amsterdam, with all the museums, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Having originally booked one of the smaller rooms, we were upgraded to a gorgeous family room - I cannot say thank you enough for this generosity. It was overwhelming. But what made our stay so outstanding were the staff. Whoever you encountered, there were so many smiles, so much warmth and heartfelt kindness, we were made to feel truly at home. Thank you everyone at Hotel 717, thank you Victor & Victor, and I can‘t wait to be back very very soon!

Had a lovely 3 night stay at Hotel 717. The location was perfect for what we wanted to see in Amsterdam. And the staff was delightful. Felt very secure. My room was small but well-appointed. There was a little noise from the pipes, but that's not surprising for an old building. Would definitely stay here again.
