Charming hotel in a perfect location. The staff was very helpful and always present! The breakfast was also very nice. The ONLY negative were the steep stairs going to the rooms so be prepared for that! It was quant more like a bed and breakfast

We couldn’t recommend staying at The Craftsman more highly. We absolutely loved the decor, ambience, location,delicious breakfast and above all the helpful friendly staff. A little gem.

What an amazing property!! Every detail is taken care of and the staff is amazing. From the moment you step through the door you feel like you are home. The breakfast is really great. Great location close to everything. I would highly recommend.

Unbelievable stay in a remarkably historic hotel. Everything about this hotel is incredible; the location, the room, the staff, the breakfast. This was my 4th time in Amsterdam but first time at this hotel. We will always stay here every time we visit Amsterdam here on out.

We spent 2 nights at The Hotel Craftsman and wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel and canal location epitomize the Old-World charm of Amsterdam and enhanced our stay in the city. The decor is quite artistic and cleverly done with a nice eating/gathering area. The kind, friendly attention of the owner and staff was greatly appreciated. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon coffee/chocolate were delicious and relaxing. We stayed in the Shoemaker's room and loved all the windows and canal/street views, particularly at sunset when the bridges and streetlamps were lit. The bed was very comfortable, and all the linens were luxurious. Definitely, spend a few minutes talking about the fascinating hotel and its history with the owner, Michelle. Michelle's restaurant and canal boat tour (Pure Boats) recommendations were outstanding. The location was perfect for us... walking distance to historic sites, museums, excellent restaurants and the central train station and trams.

Had such a great time staying at the Craftsmen, I really can't say enough about the hotel. The best things are the location (it's in a historic building right in the city), the breakfast every morning was delicious (including the mini dutch pancakes which were out of this world), and the staff were friendly and professional and really made the stay enjoyable. I was in the "Boat Maker" room, which was large and well appointed and had amazing views of the canal. The rooms were professionally designed and you can tell. Thank you to the entire staff especially Michele and Camille, you went above and beyond and I really appreciate it.

I had a travel issue and got “stuck” in Amsterdam. I did a quick google search for top rated hotels. I stumbled upon this one and booked it. Very happy with my decision. When I come back I’ll stay again because the time was too quick. Great location and staff - the staff made my one night stay special and ensured I had breakfast ready for my early flight. They even realized it was my birthday and put some balloons and a sweet note in my room. The bed was comfortable. The room very clean and shower great. A gem.
