This hotel has the best location. However, you need to climb up the stairs. There is no elevator. We climbed up to the reception area and went down to climbed up again to the fourth floor, for the room assignment. This is only good for a night stay without luggages.

Very steep staircase . Not suitable for senior citizen and couple travelling with children. Rooms are ok and staff service is good.

The location is near the station. There are restaurants and supermarkets downstairs, which is very convenient. On Saturday night, when the supermarket banned the purchase of alcohol, I was able to buy beer at the hotel's vending machine. I was very excited.

The location is great, the service is also very good, but the room is very small, facing the street, a bit noisy, and the stairs are very narrow. Fortunately, the waiter is very enthusiastic and helps to carry the luggage up and down the stairs~~

The location is very close to the train station. There are supermarkets, souvenir shops, and great restaurants nearby. It is also very close to tourist attractions. Sightseeing boats and sightseeing buses are all within walking distance.

They had a problem with my payment and the receptionist came into the room in the middle of the night. Terrible experience. A 0/0

Located in the city center, there are also different restaurants outside the hotel, which is very convenient. It is close to the central railway station and railway station, making traveling very convenient. But there is no lift in the hotel and the stairs are very narrow.

I’ve been around at a lot of cheap hotels around Europe on my trips and I do not expect much at this price but this place is just unsafe and I felt very uneasy staying here. The entrance is just a really narrow, dodgy looking door. The stairs even leading up to the reception is as steep as a ladder and even a young active person will have issues carrying a bag up there. Then it just gets worse with extremely narrow and dirty hallways and even steeper stairs that are really hard to locate. The rooms are not clean or air conditioned. None of this really mattered to me since I just needed a place to sleep at night. The thing that ruined my experience was the people surrounding the place. I noticed the place has camera surveillance when I checked in and I quickly understood why.. I was harassed and followed getting back to the hotel every night, had to ask friends to follow me all the way to the entrance then sprint the stairs and lock myself into my room. There are strange people sitting around outside and in the stairs leading up to the hotel. They shouted things at me when I passed and tried grabbing me. I know to take precautions travelling alone as a woman but I never felt this unsafe. PLEASE stay safe and do NOT stay here. There are much better places just around the corner from the Damrak. It’s also really easy travelling around Amsterdam by tram or metro so you don’t really need to stay that central.

There are times when I ask myself why is there never the possibility to give less than 0 stars. This is one of these times. I tell you why. Answer me just one question: What is the least a hotel should offer? Right, it should not just be a place to spend the night but it should offer some kind of shelter, otherwise you could also sleep on the street instead. It would be about the same. I stayed 9 nights and was robbed twice. I can count myself lucky that I usually have no cash but plastic money only on me. Unfortunately, the first time was an exception and it hurt a little bit. Then a safe was offered to me. But what is the purpose of a safe if locking it does not necessarily mean that you will find it still locked when you return? Either it was defective, or the employees found it quite funny to fool me. Because the amazing security cameras showed only the first time the culprit. By the way the robber was clearly shown on the footage and even recognized by the hotel staff, because it was a former hotel guest, but guess what afterwards he could not be identified even though the employee talked to him and walked him around that day. It is just to exhausting to search in former e-mails/documents from about 3 months ago for a clue that could be decisive. And what does this mean to you? Either you as a guest are not appreciated or the staff is involved in the robbery. Either way it does make the hotel/the staff look quite bad. If you face the question where to stay, you should rather consider staying in a hostel than in this place.

BE CAREFUL, this hotel SCAMS tourists, we booked for 2 nights (on site and not online) already overpriced (440 euros) for this miserable hotel (tiny bathroom you can barely turn around, dirty sheets, the filthy window edges, tiny room,….) The second day, returning from a walk around 5 p.m., the person at reception stopped us and told us that in fact we only had one night and that we had to pay again… . They blocked access to our room, they thought we were going to pay them 440 euros again. So we collected our things and left. Be careful, we did not ask for a duplicate of the contract and they took advantage of the fact that we had no proof.
