Hotel room was extremely dirty when we arrived in room. The toilet still had poo stains in bowl. The bath was dirty, had not be cleaned. The coffee pods were not refilled even though it stated they would be daily. We asked for more water for the room and the front desk guy told me to drink out of the tap in the room I.e the bathroom. I did offer to pay for this water. Dirty towels were folded back up to reuse. Day staff were nice however. At $500 a night Australian dollars I would expect a lot lot more.

Small hotel, comfortable room, great bathroom.
15 minute walk to the Dam, 10 minute walk to Central Station.
Very good WI-FI.
Need to improve the cleaning of the room!

We had a family room 205 which looks over the backyards, not the street, so it was very quiet. Plenty of room for the 3 of us. Nice espresso machine and a kettle but the small fridge didn’t work well. Large bathroom with heated floors 😁. Front staff was very helpful.
Good location for restaurants. About 15 minutes to the Central station.
Was pleased with the stay.

My husband and I spent the last 2 nights of our honeymoon in Amsterdam. We were so pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to the penthouse suite that had the most incredible view of Amsterdam I have ever seen. They even wrote a handwritten card and put balloons in our room. I mean - how amazing is that?! We loved the location because it was off the main drag and much quieter and calmer than a lot of Amsterdam Central. There were a few great coffee shops and walking distance to everything we needed. We never used a tram or taxi the entire time we were there. Great front desk staff, friendly and helpful. About a 10 minute walk to the train station. Not bad at all, but a little challenging if you have a lot of luggage with the cobblestone roads and bikes/people. Just something to keep in mind if you have a lot of stuff with you. The downsides were: bed was incredibly hard (and I like a firm bed). The hotel had AC but it wasn't allowed to be turned on in April - so it was hot in the room for us.
