Sir Albert Hotel, Part of Sircle Collection

Conveniently located in De Pijp and near modes of transportation. Very walkable to the Museumplein. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable, especially the pillows. The light controls are one of the best. The only gripe we had was the cleanliness of the toilet (separated from the shower area). The way it was designed and built made cleaning very difficult. The stench of "old pee" from past guests lingered during check-in, which room service was not able to get rid of after our feedback. But we did however manage to resolve it (so it did not smell anymore) with the water we boiled from the electric flask. Otherwise a fantastic stay.

Music from the restaurant will deny you the ability to sleep and thus retain your sanity. Demand a high floor or you’ll regret your stay. So glad we didn’t have an early flight. If you are out past 2 am, no sweat, but if you plan on relaxing or waking up early, hard pass. Other than not being able to sleep, it was great.

There are lots of plusses and a few minuses about this property but here’s the deal : 1. No benefits for Marriott Titanium members -they use the brand for marketing only, not loyalty. 2. Nice location - a short walk to the metro, restaurants, and atm Machines. 3. Their restaurant is good for breakfast €23 and GREAT for dinner (expensive but excellent food). 4. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. 5. The extra you can pay for a “balcony” is a tiny narrow one - not worth the extra except nice to have sliding door for fresh air. 6. Rooms are tight and small - televisions also small! You have all you need and bed is comfy, but the room AND bathroom is small. 7. The 4th floor at rear is good for no noise. 8. So is it worth the money? I’d say not quite - if it was €100 a night less I’d give it 5 stars and say yes.

The staff was AMAZING and helpful. The room was very clean and current. We loved the central location of this hotel. Would definitely stay here again. Some of the reviews states that it was loud. We were in the back side of the hotel and didn’t experience any loudness at all! We were very happy with our hotel choice!

Stayed here for 5 nights using Marriott Bonvoy points with my parents. We got 2 Sir Boutique rooms on the 4th floor facing the city. Loved the views, but because there is a bar across the street with outdoor seating, it can be a bit loud late into the night. The room was very comfortable for 1 person, but a bit cramped for 2, and if I visited my parents’ room there was really no where for me to sit down. Without just one desk chair, there isn’t anywhere for more than 1 person to eat takeout food in the room, and the public lounge space also doesn’t have anywhere to eat. There were plenty of power outlets in the room, but I wish there had been some USB outlets so that I didn’t need a separate adaptor for each one. The front desk agents were always very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping also did a great job, but did not speak English. There was only 1 small guest elevator but we never had to wait overly long for it. I do wish there was a bannister for the 2 steps at the front door for my dad who has trouble with stairs. Location was wonderful. There are a ton of places to eat within walking distance, the Metro stop is just down the street (even though on Google maps it looks like it is further away), and the Albert Cuyp Markt is also just 1 block away. The one thing you might not know is that right around the corner is a mini-red light *****.
