Heat is a bit of an issue. Cold outside and the thermostat may have been a bit resistant to making me warm. Hot water from the shower as well. Need some hangers in the room and a hair dryer. The proprietors are friendly, the location good, parking easy and the bed comfortable. I would go here again = good value for your dough.

For a vintage motel experience with the comfort of fresh updates and classic attentive staff, the Bird Creek Motel was a delight. To watch a gorgeous sunset over Turnagain Bay was an unexpected thrill.

Typical 60's - 70's feel. Room was exactly as pictured. Parking in front of door. Water pressure in shower was good. Refrigerator and microwave. Comfortable bed. Chairs & table outside door. Not a fancy or modern place, but good for a night.

Bird Creek Motel provided a clean, comfortable stay for us, at a very reasonable rate. We enjoyed it so much that we booked it again on our return trip to Anchorage.
