Quite honestly, one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had & my family travels often with accommodations that range from Hampton Inn to Miraval.
The first night we had a 3rd floor king room. We had traveled 18 hours, checked in at 12am & too tired to switch. The next morning we moved to a room with 2 queens on the 2nd floor. Not only was the room pretty worn out, the carpet was damp, sticky & I swear, there were mites because my ankles/feet itched so I wore socks when walking around. Fast forward to bedtime (12am), the room above us was SO noisy (or the layering & insulation between floors is incredibly thin), we couldn’t fall asleep until 2/3am.
The next morning, I asked for a room transfer back to the 3rd floor. While front desk staff were nice, they said they were completely full & unable to move rooms. For 3 days I asked if a 3rd floor room was available finding it hard to believe that NO ONE had checked out. Finally, a woman named Yaz was very apologetic & said reservations guarantee guests a room, but not a specific number. She said plenty of guests checked out & we should have been moved to the 3rd immediately. After several sleepless nights, we did.
The room cleaning was upon request which is OK given environmental concerns & COVID. Even when requested, it was inconsistent. We stayed 9 days: hiked, fished, got dirty daily & only asked for 4 refreshes. They did twice.
I was also overcharged $300. I’ve run out of energy & characters to continue my review.
