The staff here is so kind and really goes above and beyond to take care of the guests. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean and well appointed and the reservation desk staff is really the best. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel because I thought it was a bit too expensive. I did have a snack in the bar, but otherwise ate at the many surrounding places.

The people were very hospitable, especially in the concierge lounge! Took time to answer my questions and give local advice on establishments in the downtown area. The room is very spacious and clean! The hotel even gave some advice on some parking areas as to avoid the local riffraff, also used the gym which was better than most places I have stayed at

I normally don’t send these back, but I really thought your hotel as a whole did a great job. I was able to visit the lounge on Thursday morning of my visit and the gentleman did a great job helping me with coffee and plates. Very attentive. The younger bar attendants during my visit also were great and on top of drinks and food service. Great hotel, I will be back next year.

I absolutely love this hotel! The staff is the most friendly of all Marriott’s that I stay in and I stay in a bunch. The beds and pillows are great and couldn’t meet better people trying to make sure your stay is perfect. Will always be a favorite!

The staff at the Marriott Anchorage Downtown were exceptional. From the Valet person that you meet when you first arrive to the front desk staff and the food/beverage staff, they were all extremely pleasant and created a great stay. I was able to take a day off to go fishing. The hotel has freezer space where they held my fish until I checked out. Thank you for a great stay.

When I travel, I always start with TripAdvisor. That’s exactly what I did for my lodging in Anchorage. I’ll be honest, I was hesitant booking the Marriott because of the negative reviews and its ranking. But I am a rewards member for Marriott and try to stay there whenever possible. I booked the downtown Marriott for two different stays during my Alaska vacation. Wow. Just wow. I was completely blown away because the negative reviews were so wrong. The hotel staff greeted me and took care of my car and my luggage. The reception from front desk staff was welcoming and super friendly. One even offered to eat with so I wouldn’t have to dine alone. Joking but still kind. Modern, clean, all the amenities I expect from Marriott. My room was a modern large room and absolutely spotless. But that bed… I slept like a happy camper. The only thing, and I am being picky here, the only thing I noticed was the strong smell from the pool when I was in the lobby. So forget reading the lower rated reviews. If you need and want a downtown hotel, the Marriott is the right choice.

The Downtown Anchorage Marriott is truly the nicest hotel in Anchorage. Their employees have obviously been trained to provide exceptional customer service. Everyone I interacted with from valet, to front desk staff to the lobby bartender were extremely professional and courteous.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel in downtown Anchorage. The room was lovely, extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel is in walking distance to restaurants in the old downtown district. The best part of my stay was the front desk staff - in particular Angela. Stellar service!
