Island View Beachfront Resort Reviews

Fantastic place to stay, great choice of good food and drinks, lovely environment around the gardens and very comfortable clean and spacious rooms. Staff are friendly and provide great service. Perfect to relax, sea is right there, warm and clear. Snorkelling is a bit distant, about 250m swim diagonally to the north has some good coral stands with lots of sea life. Saw blue Lipped sea snakes in on the reef often, very safe though, no current and some shallow places to rest swimming out and back. Need shoes for the urchins. All in all a perfect place to relax for a family. Took the 1000p per person snorkel with the dove boat. The reef is deeper there so hard to see much close up, but this was made up for by seeing a couple of massive turtles. We drove, but they offer trips to the rice terraces, chocolate hills etc. Can walk to the limestone sink hole swimming pool and Anda town

After a long ride, we had to check-in around 8pm at night, though the welcome was still very pleasing and warm, Owner Peter came out and greet us and welcome us to the resort, a quick confirmation with the receptionist and off we go to our rooms! After escorting us to the room, she carefully introduces us regarding about the amenities and facilities around the resort. Very sincere and hospitable service which many travellers would highly appreciate! The facilities were nice and clean, as it can be seen being maintained and cleaned around the resort! The staff were SUPER nice and helpful, I know I am exaggerating, but that is how I felt. Each and every request made, were done very well. The restaurant; The Old Plantation was such an amazing experience, the sunny skies and green coconut palm trees on the right, and a rustic cozy restaurant on the left gave it a nice atmosphere while eating. Service of the resort has covered all bases, from transportation to food to swimming equipment. They got it all! Everything about the stay made us want to book the place again, sadly we only have time for a few short days. Would recommend to all travellers to come and visit the beautiful Anda with Island View Beachfront, I guarantee you that you will have an amazing time!

Very peaceful resort, with a very good restaurant with wine selection. Swimming pool also very clean and facing the see. The cabana accommodation was amazing.

The best place to relax and unwind! The hotel is clean with beautiful facilities, facing a private beach of white sand and blue water. Food is great, either for breakfast or dinner there is a wide range of offers, and the ones we tasted were delicious (especially considering this is a remote location in Philippines). Will definitely come back!

The owner was a very friendly man who made sure our stay was enjoyable and even came to see us off. The staff are very nice and helpful, members of staff are able to pass on your request to someone who can help you if they cannot themselves. All in all we had a very relaxing time in the comfortable atmosphere that they provided.

The room is quite large, the facilities are more user-friendly and newer, the service is friendly, and the boss personally picks up and drop off the hotel. It's a great experience. You can dig sand at the beach, snorkel, and get up early to catch the sea. The local Filipinos dig up sea urchins and eat them. The restaurant is not expensive and the food is good. You can have three meals in the hotel. Recommended fried rice, mango juice without sugar is suitable for children. Canoes are available for free use and laundry services are provided.

A very beautiful resort, with beautiful houses facing the sea directly! Although it is a bit remote, it is well worth it. There are bars and restaurants in the resort! You can get three meals a day in the village and will come again next time! The boss, Peter, is also very nice.

The owner is very nice and Australian. The appearance of the decoration is very good, only the bath water is relatively small but it doesn't hurt. The small hotel is very exquisite, the price is reasonable and very good

Very nice hotel to rest and relax. Peter, the owner is very welcoming. The shed was immaculate. The location in front of a beautiful beach is magnificent. The kind and always attentive stuff. Finally, the dishes served by the restaurant are excellent and quite diversified (very reasonable prices). I highly recommend Island View and I would surely come back!!!

Fantastic place with lush gardens and serenity in abundance. This is the place I have sought since I arrived in the Philippines- it’s in Anda area on the other side of Bohol away from the masses and commercial hub of Alona Beach. It’s a gem with a fine restaurant and warm staff - I can’t over state how happy my stay has been - compared to at least a dozen other stays since arriving; if you are seeking quiet, authentic hospitality and an abundance of amenities on a property with several hectares of privacy, yet close to Anda town; sitting right smack on the beach and a dive shop with 14km of bounty reef, wall dives just in front- you couldn’t find a better place with better value for the money- Go for it ! Splurge if it is over your budget. Thanks Peter for your generous hospitality and for what you have created here.

This place was the best stay we had in the Philippines. Staff was very accommodating. The beach side Cabana was an amazing room. The beach is gorgeous with crystal clear waters. Will definitely go back in the future. The Old Plantation restaurant served the best food we had at a resort. Absolutely wonderful.

My husband and I had a fantastic 7 day stay at Island View. Peter was a wonderful host and the staff were very professional and helpful and had good local knowledge to plan outings for us. The accomodation was very comfortable and spacious. We had a lovely ocean view from our room. The tropical gardens add a tranquil and peaceful feel. The on-site restaurant, The Old Plantation, serves a great variety of delicious meals and drinks. Overall a very pleasant and relaxing stay. Definitely recommend.

I was really impressed with this resort. The welcome on arrival was warm and friendly. We had one of the standalone rooms - it was extremely spacious, private with outdoor space. The grounds of the resort are beautifully maintained and really interesting to walk around. I was impressed the most by the bar and restaurant - such tasteful and authentic surroundings. The staff were quietly attentive and polite, offering great service. The menu was extremely varied; we particularly enjoyed the Filipino dishes. The resort was an excellent base to explore the east side of the island. We really enjoyed our stay here and would visit again. Thank you to Peter and team.

This stay was perfect! My boyfriend asked me to mary me during our Philipin travel. So I asked to Island view resort if they could make the room romantich. So they did! And also they prepared a romantic diner, private space with fresh flowers at the sea side. It was amazing. What a kind and helpfull staff! This was also a big plus: we wanted to do the whale shark experience but they told us they dont advise it because it is really made by human. not really a natural habitat anymore. And because we are against animal entertainment made by human, we where really happy they told us the truth. So thanks again! We come back Lots of love Mira and Bas
