Inattentive & unfriendly service in the restaurant. We sat outside because the weather was nice, but the cobblestone ground slanted toward the street & the tables were not properly supported. When the drinks fell over & spilled shortly after being served, we didn't get any apology, they didn't clean the spill from the table (they did give 1 napkin) & they didn't try to stabilize the table. On top of that we had to pay for the spilled drinks and order new ones since these were our first drinks, intended to go along with the meal. The food was ok, but not not enough.

Einmal mehr einfach super. Zum wiederholtem male durften wir ein super Nachtessen im Hotel Schweizerhof geniessen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam aber nie aufdringlich. Man fühlt sich als Gast einfach wohl und kann ein unbeschwerten Abend mit kulinarischem Höchstgenuss geniessen. Zu empfehlen sind vor allem die vielen leckeren Fleischvariationen vom Grill. Grillkunst auf hohem Niveau. Wir kommen sicher bald wieder. Vielen dank an Barbara und ihrem super Team

The hotel is housed in a beautiful old building but unfortunately probably haven’t seen much renovation recently. The furnishings are pretty old although mixed with some cool modern touches. The walls are paper thin and the bathroom is not more than a hole in the wall. On the other hand it is reasonably priced compared to most other Andermatt hotels making it a reasonable choice for a one-night stay. The breakfast is sorely missing some Swiss must haves such as birchermüsli.

You get what you pay for- this is a 2 star hotel, and that is excacly what you get. Ok value for the money in Andermatt. What was good: -The hotel front side is charming, so is the dining hall. -Location is perfect -Cozy, old vibe in the hotel -ok room, with ok bed. -New bathroom -Nice staff What was bad: -Missing a shower gel and shampo in cans in the shower. You just get small plastic bags with shower gel. -There was just a few things to choose from the breakfast buffe. The bread and buns are good, but there could have been a few more things to choose from. -The smoking and ash-tray at the entrance should be removed. Very strange place to have this.. Always staff and other people smoking there- should not happen in 2022. -The plastic sign to their resturatnt should also be switched with something more rustic to match the hotel.

Decided to eat a fondue here for a lunch, and I can definitely say that it was the worst and the most expensive fondue moitie-moitie in my life. It was so liquid with a strong smell of alcohol so I doubt that there was enough cheese inside. Moreover it costs a fortune - two cokes, two fondues and two espressos were CHF 75, and after all their terminal for credit card payments asked if I would like to leave the tips for the service, that was absolutely not welcoming.
