Serita Beach Hotel

The hotel is about an hour away from the airport which was fine, On arrival we were greeted by a member of staff and they took our suitcases and got us a drink as we checked in which was lovely. We paid for a sea view, and we did get it but a more view of the pool which then overlooks the sea. The room itself I couldn't complain about. The beds were comfy and it was cleaned everyday to a decent standard, you got bathrobes and slippers, there was a not very powerful hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities but sadly these weren't filled up correctly. Everyday. We did complain to reception which they eventually got filled up. The overall facilities at this hotel were clean and lovely except from the restaurant, there was some variations on food but unfortunately everything was served lukewarm, and when this was brought to the attention of the staff nothing seemed to change, a few other families that are on holiday at the same time of us did also complain and felt like it went on death ears. Which was a real disappoin**ent considering everything else was lovely about this hotel, you are right on the beach, you are a bit isolated. There isn't much around to walk to. The closest town is 20 minutes in a taxi. We tried the alacar restaurants, we tried the Italian which was lovely as you got to try one of each of the starters and then a choice of Main which I had a pizza and I will say it was probably the hottest meal I had in the whole week. We then tried the Greek night, and again starters were fine. We then ordered chicken on a bed of potatoes, which actually turned up to be on a bed of chips which were stone cold, when we address the issue to the waitress she didn't say anything and just took the plate and walked off, 20 minutes later she came back and offers us dessert, I declined and we left hungry. Overall as many people have said in the comments and many people made comments once we were there. Also this isn't a five-star hotel. The food in the main restaurant or the food in general really let lets this place down. Like I said in my above comments, you are right on the beach which is lovely, the actual hotel is very pretty in itself and we found it to be clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, unfortunately we would not return due to the bad food. That's really the main downside of this hotel.

This was my first experience of an all-inclusive holiday, and having read previous Serita Beach reviews I was aware of potential 'issues'. However, I was more than pleasantly surprised to have a fab stay! I'm a (very) fussy eater but found a wide range of suitable buffet options at all mealtimes - there were some communication issues with the 3 specific restaurants which were mostly solved by helpful reception staff. All restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, even as the hotel got busier - and we loved our Easter cakes! Our room on the 3rd floor was great, with clean towels and restocked minifridge every day. It may be that our room staff were exceptional as some friends on other floors weren't as lucky. The bar staff, particularly at the pool bar, were also very friendly and patient, putting up with our party of 10. Some reviews have commented on the lower strength alcohol options, but as they are free/included it allows a range of cocktails/drinks. While some people may choose to stay within the resort, perhaps for financial reasons, our party explored the local area most days, visiting bars and restaurants, hiring jet skis etc - so supporting the local economy too. Also we took trips on the little train, or taxis, or coach/boat trips to places such as Knossos, Spinalonga etc. Overall it was a lovely holiday - thank you 😍😍

The only positive about this holiday was some of the staff . Other than that rather poor I was an solo traveller was given no information about nearest bus route. Staff very unhelpful . Given the fact I was a solo traveller I felt I was treated very poorly everything was an inconvenience . This place is ideal if you have families and don't want to leave the hotel .

Never a 5* even by Greek standards. More like a 2* maybe 3 * at a push. Pros: Nice layout friendly staff Facing the sea Cons: Shabby rooms Cold food in Buffett restaurant Drinks ARE non alcoholic and taste bad Very poor entertainment In the middle of nowhere just other hotels
