Le Relax Hotel and Restaurant

I was about to book when I saw in tiny tiny print there are shared bathroom. This is needs to be in large, bold font. Are you kidding me?

We stayed at this property due to an unexpected flight delay, and only needed a short 5–6 hour stay before heading back to the airport. Despite this, we were fully prepared to pay the standard one-night rate as listed online — we weren’t asking for any discount due to the short stay. However, upon checkout, the hotel attempted to charge us double the normal price. When we questioned this, the owner himself came out and insisted it was “policy,” offering no breakdown or logic behind the inflated charge. Rather than resolve the issue professionally, he used manipulative guilt tactics, telling us either to pay the full inflated price or leave without paying anything at all. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially when the customer is already willing to pay the standard rate for a stay that didn’t even last the full night. It felt like exploitation, plain and simple. What made it worse was what happened after we left. Later that evening, my partner developed painful red sores and bite marks on her legs, back, and arms. These appeared only after staying at this hotel — and she had no such issues during our entire stay in Seychelles prior to this. The timing and pattern strongly suggest bed bugs, or a similar hygiene issue in the bedding. We have documented this with photos of the skin reactions and can confirm that no such problems occurred at any other accommodation during our trip. ⸻ Summary: ❌ Stayed only 5–6 hours, but charged double the normal daily rate ❌ Manipulative owner gave us an ultimatum at checkout ❌ Suspected bed bug infestation — serious hygiene concerns ❌ No apology, no professionalism ✔️ Food was passable, but irrelevant compared to the overall experience We are requesting a partial refund due to both the dishonest billing and the serious sanitation concerns that have now affected my partner’s health and well-being. Avoid this property if you care about fairness, cleanliness, and being treated with basic respect.

Great staff, always there if needed, however not pushy at all. bungalow was very tidy. breakfast was sufficient. the view and location just stunning great beach to swim and snorkel. little town in walking distance - we as a family felt taken care of! thank you lots…

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Le Relax Hotel and Restaurant. Despite advertising a "flexible cancellation policy," the hotel refused to accommodate me when I discovered that my cancellation request had not been properly registered. I acted in good faith by contacting the hotel just a few hours after the cancellation deadline and several days before my scheduled stay. However, they flatly refused to reverse the full charge or even offer a compromise, despite having ample time to rebook the room. This rigid and inflexible approach is entirely unreasonable, especially given that I immediately reached out to resolve the issue. Customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, prioritizing their rigid rules over basic fairness and goodwill. If you value fair treatment, transparency, and a property that cares about its guests, I strongly advise booking elsewhere. This experience has left a very negative impression, and I regret ever making this reservation.

It is a great hotel, with outstanding ocean view. It is easy to get there from the airport, by taxi or by local bus, which stops 2 minute walk from the hotel. It has as well nice swimming pool. The personel is very nice, friendly, always willing to help. It's location is perfect , a short walk from the Royal Anse Beach. There is also a nice restaurant in the hotel, serving great Indian food. I strongly recomend that place and for sure will book the accomodation again if ever again in Mahe.

Lovely Indian food. They do delivery to your hotel also in case you are not staying there. Superb service. Special mention to Vaishnav who went extra mile to take care of our 10 month old baby. Location is also fab with sea view. They have outlets in Praslin and la digue too which you can try.

Very well located, nice and comfortable room, beautiful garden and nice swimming pool. Very friendly staff, always ready to help, in particular the staff of the restaurant. The food quite good, although mostly indian type. I have no doubt to recommend it.

Relax Hotel in Mahé was the perfect tropical escape! With stunning ocean views, a serene pool, and excellent dining, every moment felt like paradise. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Highly recommend for anyone seeking tranquility and top-notch service!

Excellent Location, friendly stuff, nice food,amazing customer service especially Mrinal. For sure we will viait u back. We recommend it to all visitors going to south for a calm nice and family or couples trips. Also the hotel has nice views.
