Enjoyed our stay, nice room and good evening meal and breakfast. Only downside only 3 car parking spaces, had to park on road opposite.

We stayed last night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the pub staff are warm, friendly and very attentive they couldn’t do enough for us, we ate dinner last night and had breakfast this morning both of which were wonderful, the room was fabulous with lots of little extras which really made it feel special, we wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend to others

What a fabulous friendly pub/Inn. We met here as a family gathering and the staff were so lovely. Becky in particular looked after us so well. Can recommend staying here and would love to come again

Lovely room great food staff couldn't do enough for us lovely cosy fire when we arrived staff attentive and friendly definately a place to visit very spacious bedroom with gorgeous bathroom even hair straighteners in addition to hairdryer dressing area which provided cotton wool pads for makeup removal thoughtful touches

Excellent little pub with rooms. We had Room 3 which was spacious with 2 comfy armchairs & a fabulous bathroom with a superb walk-in shower. We had drinks in the cozy bar & then a wonderful dinner in the lovely beamed restaurant. Walking distance to the quaint little town of Appleby. Would definitely stay there again.

Very warm and homely. Gave us a free upgrade. Food was excellent in restaurant and lovely cooked breakfast.

The staff were very polite and helpful. The property was absolutely spotless. We went over New Years Eve and didnt have any problem booking tables for good tasty food.
Menu had a great choice and the breakfast had a wide selection which was included in the price of the booking

Slow service, snotty staff and cold food when it eventually arrived. I did try to bring this to the managers attention but was ignored. Overpriced drinks and the toilets hadn't been cleaned either. Not recommended. We wouldn't go again as there are better value pubs in the area with much better service.

Visited with a family group - we had prebooked - very busy and advice was very slow . This happens absolutely we understand that but we were very disappointed when we raised our wait time with 2 different staff - very defensive and no apology . Just a ‘ we are sorry can we car you a drink or some bread while you wait ‘ would have made all the difference. Very disappointing after such good reviews .
