My family and I intended to stay at Casona Solar for one evening but ended up staying almost a full week! The staff and owners were very accommodating with our last minute changes and super helpful with restaurant and activity recommendations. We will definitely return on our next trip to Arequipa!

AWFUL EXPERIENCE. BATHROOMS NOT WORKING. NO WINDOWS. OUTDATED DECOR TO THE POINT OF SCARY. LOUD STREET NOISE. Nos robaron! Este hotel está en mal estado - los baños no funcionan. Las habitaciones no tienen ventanas. Habíamos reservado una Suite, nos cambiaron de categoría a uno básico sin ningún reembolso. Luego hicimos una modificación a la reserva, no la notaron y nos cobraron el doble. Un robo!!!! La dueño ni siquiera nos atendió. NUNCA VOLVERÉ O RECOMENDARÍA ESTE HOTEL.

This really is a hidden gem. When the taxi pulled up I thought there must be a mistake. But once the door was opened we entered a charming courtyard. The owners and staff were very friendly and we were delighted with our room with its domed ceiling. The laundry service was excellent and very reasonably priced. A short stroll took us to the museum housing the “ice maiden”, and a little further was the main square. Overall a very pleasant stay.

The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets, with a view of the nice garden! The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a couple of options! The staff were attentive and provided excellent service. I felt very comfortable there!

Really nice hotel right in the center of town. Relatively quiet and wonderful, classical rooms. Excellent breakfast and the nicest service in the world. Washing service for your clothes and nice, hot showers, comfortable beds that are just a dream. A must to stay and a must to come back here.

We would go back to Arequipa at any time. This hotel was part of the reason. The courtyards, rooms and common areas were architecturally stunning and very comfortable. The location was great. The food was wonderful. And the staff was superb. Check-in was easy; they kindly made dinner reservations for us; and they stored our luggage on our last day before our flight our of town. If you want value and the experience of colonial architecture then this a perfect spot.
