Casa Andina Standard Arequipa

It is not the first time being in this hotel and service was always avarage to good. The restaurant staff is very helpful, but in reception it is mainly poor. Qualifying my last stay, there was a request to change rooms which was denied without any effort of the front desk staff to make a change, as asking friendly, being unfriendly we were attended. Regarding the dinner, there was a very loud party in the dining room - non consuming - during our diner and we just asked to be a little less loudly. Later I received a complaint of this hotel staff via my company because of our unfriendlyness and also non flexibility at a dinner. Receiving tips, saying thank you and afterwards complaining? It is not very profesional.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were amazing! We travel quite a bit and can honestly say Jose and Sandra along with each and every other staff member was incredible. The lobby is really beautiful and welcoming, the stairs, hallways and lounge areas are very clean, comfortable and updated in design. The bedroom was perfect (okay, the toilet area could have been a little larger) The bed was so comfy, they offer 2 types of pillows, the sheets were like new, the view was mesmerizing. We both highly recommend this hotel if you ever find yourself in this very nice town.
Casa Andina Premium Arequipa

This hotel is in an excellent location on a quiet street in Arequipa, a close walk to major attractions. The tented 'lobby' and public spaces are beautiful, with gorgeous antiques, wall adornments, metal sculptures and a lovely ambiance. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but very standard, with nothing that would remotely qualify for a five star rating by Peru standards. The staff are helpful, and friendly, although efficiency is sometimes an issue. During our stay the fumes from new paint in our room (or at least we hope it was paint and not something else) were quite unbearable, but our short stay didn't warrant requesting a move - so we had to keep the window open at all times. Because repairs were being made to AC units on sections of the building, we would find a man on the roof right outside our window at select times, making for poor privacy. These were minor problems, and we found the stay mostly quite comfortable. The restaurant on site has very good food and breakfast is relatively extensive by Peru standards.

A great place to rest and recharge for a days travel, the rooms are clean and well equipped, the staff is very friendly, Jaime Ramos at the restaurant was very helpful and also knows a lot of what to do in Arequipa, lots of great recommendations and insights, would definitely recommend this hotel.
La Casa de Margott

this hotel was wonderful and accommodating and clean. we arrived by overnight by bus and were very tired in the morning but the staff brought us breakfast (helped me discover how much I enjoy Altomayo instant coffee - yum!), which enjoyed from our balcony and watched the sunrise. Our only regret was not booking enough time here and in Arequipa - seriously considering returning just to explore the city more and absolutely would stay here again. I had to work the day we were here and the wifi was strong enough for my work most of the time. Very safe location and they stopped my partner when she entered and didn’t notify them who she was, which we understood and appreciated. We also checked out very early the following day and they were equally as accommodating and friendly as when we arrived. Very close to city center and lots of accessible walking to historical and cultural sites of interest.
Hampton by Hilton Arequipa

Fantastic hotel close to the Plaza de Armas. Beautiful colonial house with a discreet addition in the back that houses the modern and well equipped rooms. Excellent service and delicious breakfast and beautiful public areas. Some rooms have the volcano views, other the church and city. Equally beautiful. Frankly I'm surprised Hilton didn't make this a Curio brand. It's probably the best Hampton I've seen anywhere. It even has a jacuzzi on the roof top and you can also the see Misti volcano from there. It's got all the amenities and comforts of an international chain but keeping to the traditional architecture and charm of Arequipa. Definitely worth staying here. In fact we stayed here twice!
