Windmill Bay Hotel

Stayed here during a holiday with my wife and in-laws. The hotel is very well maintained, and located straight alongside the sea. It is a half crescent moon shape and this design ensures everyone has a view of the pool and sea. The employees are gernerally friendly and helpfull. The bloke doing the cocktails in the afternoon did them perfectly and with great enthusiasm! The pool is nice and clean. And there is something of a kids pool next to it. Theres plenty of sunbeds although even during the late season there were multiple people scared of not being directly near the pool and so there were still people having contests of being the first there to reserve a bed and then dissappearing for hours. This isn’t allowed according to the hotel rules but employees didnt do anything about it which is a shame. Its a sad practice so it should be blocked. The rooms get cleaned well and on time and the cleaning lady is very friendly and polite knocking before entering. There is however an issue with the plumbing of the toilets it seems. A few times a day the rooms smells of sewage originating from the toilets. Which was weird especially considering they were clean… My advice to the hotel is have someone check this out maybe its a simple issue. The AC is included and works very well. The rooms are insulated well so the cold remains in the room and its pretty soundproof (not completely ;) ) There is an fridge in the room that works very well. I like my drinks ice cold and this fridge can freeze everything inside when srt to the max (had to turn it back down haha) Overall its a very good hotel and is definitely worth consideration when booking a holiday. Would definitely return again in the future.
Anamar Zante Hotel

Agoulos Beach Hotel

After reading recent reviews for this hotel I was very worried about what we had let ourselves in for however we were VERY pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel staff that met us were super friendly and helpful, the room was sooooo much better than we expected ... it was spotless clean with the most amazing sea view. Was it dated...yes, it would definitely benefit from a bit of a cash injection to repair a few of the broken bits and pieces.... the shower in our room leaked if you werent careful, the self catering facilities were patchy i.e only one bowl for the room, mis matched crockery, no saucepans or utensils etc but if you asked at reception they were more than happy to sort anything out for you. The roof top bar was lovely, a bit more pricey than in town but again lovely staff and nice food. The pool was spotless but the garden needed a bit of TLC, the pool bar was fine, we never ate here but other guests said it was average. On the whole it just needs a bit of love and its a shame because it wouldnt take a lot to make it soooo much better. The hotel is a bit out of town but is only about a 10 min slow walk into the main area where there is lots of fab restaurants and bars, the pavement can be a bit rough but there is streetlighting. Overall we had a really fab stay and would definitely visit again.
Mirabelle Hotel

Just stayed here for 11 nights. I cannot fault the hotel at all. Yes there is a steep hill up to the rooms so if you struggle with mobility take this into account but I saw guests with very poor mobility managing! Breakfast had plenty of choice. Cereal, yogurt, toast, cakes, sliced meats, cheese, sausage, small pastrey's, eggs, juice, coffee etc. There was enough to keep us going until tea time. The room had all we needed - safe, air con, fridge and a lovely comfy bed! It was cleaned every day, beds made and towels changed. Always got a welcoming smile and a good morning from the cleaners. Did use the pool - it was very cold, but so was the sea on some days! Hotel is on a busy main road with no footpath outside but there is room to walk single file and it was only for a couple of minutes. The hotel is located near to plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, all within walking distance. Not a lot of beach along argassi front but there is a free bus to banana beach (we didn't use this). There is no shortage of car/scooter/quad hire places and there are plenty of places to book your boat trips. I would definitely recommend a stay here - a small, quiet, friendly hotel. Thank you Mirabelle Hotel 😊
Ionian Hill Hotel

Absolutely loved our recent stay at Ionian Hill Hotel. From check in to check out our stay was easy, peaceful and clean. Parking is located at the top (quite a steep drive up and sharp corner). The lobby, grounds and rooms are spotless. The lady at breakfast and lunch was absolutely lovely. She seemed to really enjoy interacting with everyone and went above and beyond to ensure everyone was looked after. The only problem we found were the wasps whenever you wanted to eat by the restaurant they would appear instantly. I'm not sure if this was due to the time of year but there were alot of them! We had a room on the ground floor by the pool (room 5) it was lovely. We did feel like more cupboard clothes space would have been useful as we stayed for 10 nights and you could hear water when people above were using their bathrooms. The air conditioning worked perfectly however the power stopped when you took your key out so don't leave anything in the fridge that could go off! The pool is not heated bur after a few moments you get used to the temperature. It's a very deep pool but always clean with the best view. Plenty of sunbeds. Would Absolutely stay here again if visiting zakynthos. A beautiful island but you definitely need a car!
Hotel Papillon

We have stayed in the lovely village of Agassi half a dozen times over the past few years and will continue to return in the future as it ticks all of our boxes. We divide our visits between all inclusive and B&B, based on price and availability . Our 'go to' all inclusive is awesome , but the price fluctuates and if we use this hotel there is little motivation to leave the premises for the whole holiday as the food and facilities are excellent. On this occasion we decided to go B&B and selected the Papillion based on its Trop advisor ratings and photographs. There was also a significant price advantage over other similar B&B hotels in the same area. OK lets divide this into positives and negative's: Positives: -The rooms are modern and well cleaned with overall good facilities in them. -The wi-fi in the rooms & pool area is excellent and free! (good enough to stream TV from a fire stick) -The overall layout and positioning of the hotel is excellent with good access to the local restaurants and facilities. -The breakfast is excellent with a good hot and cold selection which is regularly topped up and capped off with an excellent toast machine which generates perfect toast in a record time. This is way more than just a continental buffet and is enough to set you up for the day. -The prices for drinks during your stay both for meals and by the pool are competitive with the local restaurants and not overpriced. -The pool area is excellently maintained, cleaned & tidied during the day with food served to your sun lounger if required. -The staff are happy and efficient, all adding to the experience. although the lovely young lady who serves at breakfast and during the day in the bar should smile more. She is quick & efficient but never looks happy (unless her little girl is brought to visit then the smiles are difficult to miss lol) Now to the negatives... Not much to say here, but in order to give balance I shall!! -The aircon is an extra charge as is the safe, both of which are a necessity I feel, but that is more of an annoyance than anything else and is offset by the the initial excellent price. -Storage in the room is poor with no hanging space for long items like dresses and very limited draw space. To summarise... we love this hotel and (almost) everything about it, and will definitely be returning when time allows us.
