Princess Hotel

The weather and staff were very good as was the pool . The breakfast was adequate. The rooms require a complete upgrade . The first room they gave us was like going back to the 70's and was located a long distance from the pool area . We were then transfered to a lower floor which was like something from the 90's . The shower stand had perished but we managed There are no lifts so not good for people with impairments.

Very beautiful pool, and… that’s it. Cheap rooms, poor wifi, really mid breakfast, if you’re staying at this hotel, you’ll want to be out of your room as much as you can (which can be appealing I guess)

The hotel property is beautiful and conveniently located to the beaches, shopping and restaurants. There is no elevator and if you are on the top floor it can be very inconvenient trying to bring your luggage up/down. There was no phone in our room either. Parking is limited so if you didn't get a space you would have to go across the street in a dirt parking lot used for the beach. The morning breakfast served could be better. More variety and better options. It was ok but could use some revamping. The pool and grounds beautiful! The hotel restaurant/bar onsite had good food/drinks.

The outside is very nice , the inside needs a big makeover. Breakfast is a 2 out of 10, every day the same tasteless stuff. Little to no variation. Yoghurt is the worst, no taste . Only when mixed with fruit or canned peaches and cinnamon is added to it, it transforms to a yoghurt.l that can be eaten. One kind of cheese and one kind of meat .Orange-juice made from powder, super-sweet , once was enough. Coffee is undrinkable, your plants would die from it. The staff is very friendly and cleaning is superb. The swimming pool an 8 out of 10, unfortunately it lies next to a busy road . My opinion : there is a lot of work that needs to be done to be worthy of the 3 stars it has now. Unfortunately the bathroom is terribly old and needs a complete renewal. 3 m2 . Tap needs adjustment , water before 08.00 and after 1900 is cold .

Lovely clean hotel, rooms are typical Greek style and are lovely and clean. Beds were comfy and pillows are lovely and fluffy. The staff are all super friendly. Breakfast was tasty with lots of selection. There are lots of sunbeds around the beautiful pool. We enjoyed a lovely week here and would say the hotel was in a great location for the stunning golden sand beach, restaurants and to explore local attractions. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

We wanted a short break where we could relax and enjoy great food. This hotel was perfect for this. The pool area was beautiful and always quiet although this was the end of the season. The foyer and restaurant are smart. The hotel is very clean. We found breakfast had good choices. Our room was quiet and comfortable however no sun on the balcony throughout the day, we could though watch the sun go down, other rooms had sunnier balconies. We found the bar to be pricey so mostly ate and drank out of the hotel. Across the road are 2 beaches turn left to the end of the road as that beach is much cheaper to rent sun beds on and just as beautiful. We loved Lassi, how green it is and lots of great tavernas. We were disappointed when we caught the bus to the town as this is billed as an 'old town' however is a working town with very few nice restaurants. We did have a wonderful time at the Princess hotel and in Lassi.

The hotel is located in Lassi, and is just a short journey from the airport (approx 10 mins). The taxi journey was $20 from airport to hotel, and $25 from hotel back to airport, although a bus is available. The location is absolutely perfect for the amazing Makris Gialos beach, and a 5 minute walk to a supermarket and the beginning of a road full of restaurants and shops. There is a bus stop is directly outside the hotel. It looked as though the hotel and pool area had been completed redecorated recently. Our room was small but clean and tidy, and the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. The bathroom toilet and basin looked new, but the bath/shower needed an updated – but worked perfectly okay. The staff were brilliant – really helpful and friendly – we had no issues at all throughout our stay. The pool area was great, lots of sunbeds (which looked new) and a bar for drinks etc. We ate out each evening in local restaurants (great value and lovely food), but ate breakfast at the hotel – breakfast was fairly limited in choice and basic, but it was okay. We would definitely stay at the hotel again – not least because of the location opposite the wonderful Makris Gialos beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at the Princess Hotel. Some shout outs first to fantastic friendly staff that really make our stay special…. Maria, Sassa and Dimitri, plus others but we didn’t know their names. The chef was brilliant. Dimitri the waiter was a star and extremely friendly and welcoming who was passionate about his job. We stayed and dined at the hotel each evening because of Dimitri. Please thank him for us. The position of the hotel was excellent, just across the road from the gorgeous Makris Gialos beach and at one end of the main drag of Lassi. The town of Argostoli was only about a 40 minute walk or a 10 minute bus ride away. The sea turtles are to die for, as were the kittens at the Princess. We had a brilliant holiday and would also recommend an all day island tour with Kefalonia Excursions as we went as far north as Fiskardo which is an amazing and beautiful sea port. A beautifully positioned, smart hotel just across the road from Makris Gialos Beach, and just a few minutes stroll from the taverna's, shops, cafe's and bars of Lassi. The staff and owners are warm and welcoming, their attention to detail in the services they provide shows their care, passion and skill in hospitality. The pool is excellent, with all the amenities needed for a lazy care free day. The location is perfect for jumping on a local bus, picking up a taxi or walking the Fanari road to Argostoli. The beds are fantastic here, very comfortable and modern styled. The room had a fantastic view of the sea, air conditioning and shutters to help keep it cool on the hotter days. It was beautifully dark and quiet at night. There are no kettles in the rooms, but there are fridges and free water is provided. Breakfast is lovely and there are lots of options from english breakfasts with a Greek twist, fresh breads, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, pastries, home made honey biscuits (my favourite) cheeses and salad. Our favourite habit was to sit by the bar and enjoy a bottle of local wine before heading out to dinner. Demetri, who managed the bar was extremely knowledgeable and introduced us to a number of new wines or liquors - which really enhanced our experience. The owner of the hotel took such personal care of her guests, everything seemed so effortless and relaxed - we felt so welcome.
