"Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Argostoli. We paid extra for the loft suite, which was light and spacious, with good views of the city and the sea. I hadn't realised until a couple of weeks before that there was no swimming pool (my mistake), however a short taxi ride away is their sister hotel, which you are allowed to go and use their swimming pool facilities and sun lounges, which considering that this hotel is a 5 star adult only resort was a bonus, without the price tag. The staff at both hotels was fabulous and friendly. If I was to critique one thing, the breakfasts had some strange items such as broccoli and runner beans, but then again what do i know! Highly recommend"

"Had a great experience. Came 4 hours before the check-in time and hosts warmly greeted. Stayed there for a couple of days. Maria is a very hospitable person, same for her son and husband. She likes to take care of the guests. I remember when it was about to rain, she came with an extra blanket and told that it can be handy as it is going to rain. Also, was treated with special sweets from Kefalonia gifted by Maria. Will surely come again here whenever I come Kefalonia."

"The hotel has a great location, not far from the beach, and plenty of restaurants nearby. There's a small supermarket to the right of the hotel entrance where you can buy yogurt and other similar items. Behind the hotel is a commercial street where you can shop, but the shop owners are quite casual, and some close very early. The room has a small balcony, not too big or too small. The only drawback is the poorly designed bathroom; the shower is too small, and the toilet paper isn't even next to the toilet! You can arrange airport or ferry pick-up through the hotel on Ctrip, but this will incur an additional fee."

"Aggressive staff. The room was much smaller than the pictures on websites. Lots of stairs, noisy because of main road. Chair broke in the room when I sat on it, causing me to hit my head & the owner accused me of playing with the chair…….then tried to charge me for it."

"Perfect in every way! Hotel owner Chrisia (sorry if the spelling is wrong!) Maki and staff really welcoming and friendly. Pool area lovely and clean, sunbeds large and comfortable, pool freezing but enjoyable once you’re in. All very relaxing. They have a honesty bar so just log what you’ve had on a sheet in your room and pay when you check out. Lovely selection of food at breakfast as guests have mentioned. So quite and relaxing, first time we haven’t put a tv on! Room fab with amazing views. Lovely little kitchenette area and good size fridge/ freezer great for putting a bottle of water in to freeze and use throughout the day. Bathroom on the small size as others stated but fast flowing hot water in the shower so not a problem for us and I’m far from on the skinny size so shower was ample. Patio also has clothes horse and pegs which is handy for washing out a few bits of clothing. Bed lovely and comfortable and room well equipped. Only slight downside needed a few more coat hangers in the wardrobe and a couple of hooks behind the bathroom door would be handy but everything else fantastic. Maki opened the bar late for us to watch the England match, great guy. At least a 35 minutes walk to central Argostoli, come out of the hotel, turn right, up a slight hill and then following the zigzag zag road down. Cabs are only €8/ €10 each way so happy to have a walk into Argostoli but no way were we walking back, lol! Handy supermarket on the front and down the road taxi rank outside a wonderful bakers or if you’re having a meal ask one of the waiters to call for a taxi. We didn’t hire a car but plenty of people do we did and Island tour and a boat trip which were both amazing and informative."

"Liostasi Retreat I want to mention from the start that this was our third consecutive year visiting this wonderful island, but it was our first time choosing the capital, Argostoli. We spent 9 wonderful days at Liostasi with my wife and our two children. We booked the apartment back in January, as it seemed ideal for us: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a large hallway with a fully equipped open-space kitchen, and an enormous balcony. The retreat’s rooms are named after famous beaches on the island, and ours was named Myrtos. The rooms are very beautiful, cleaning is done daily with great care, and our hosts were constantly attentive to anything that could improve the guests’ stay. From the very first day, we were warmly welcomed by our hosts, Giannis and Vassiliky. The location is very close to the airport, about a 20-minute drive, and also very near the lively city center, approximately a 10-minute walk to the first shopping stores and the impressive waterfront. Although we initially thought we knew the island well, our host provided us with a map and circled a multitude of new places worth visiting and exploring. Back to Liostasi. We wanted accommodation with breakfast included from the start, and we didn’t regret it at all. The breakfast was hearty, healthy, and typically Mediterranean, including, among other things: fresh fruits, Greek yogurt, honey, cereals, coffee, chocolate pastries, delicious bread, various jams, cheese, orange juice, and other items that, honestly, you can probably see in the photos. There’s also the option to have dinner here, but unfortunately, I can’t provide details since we didn’t have time for it. We would return late in the evening from the city, spend some time on the balcony terrace, and plan the next day. We felt amazing, the kids were thrilled with all the amenities provided by our hosts, and we left reluctantly but promised to return with joy to these wonderful and welcoming people. "The hotel was central and perfect for accessing the main square and shopping. 20 minutes walk to bus station, 5 minutes to Agostoli Port and 15 minutes to the bridge and the turtles . It was very clean and tidy. Noisy at night due to local bars and restaurants. Julio at reception was very friendly and welcoming. Best of all was Rosa and her amazing breakfasts!"
