We enjoyed our lil getaway to The Lion and The Rose. Our room was beautiful and even had fresh baked brownies waiting for us on the dresser. The breakfast was fabulous, as well as our hostess Karen. They go above and beyond to make your trip special. We look forward to returning soon🦋

What a wonderful way to celebrate our 40th anniversary! Karen and Steve are excellent hosts! The accommodations are charmingly beautiful! Breakfast aromas meet you as you descend the stairs into the dining room!! Each dish was a lovely blend of savory and sweet! Dinner recommendations were fantastic!!! Asheville is definitely happy to be back in business!! We will definitely make this a tradition!

We lodged in Asheville's best B&B The Lion and the Rose during the week of Christmas 2024 and enjoyed a truly remarkable experience. The home is beautifully preserved and the host and hostess work as a team to make guests feel welcomed and relaxed.

Guest room was clean, comfortable, quiet and well-appointed including plenty of towels! Beverages and snacks were available 24/7 including home baked brownies and cupcakes. Located in the historic district with restaurants and charming neighborhoods within walking distance (The Biltmore was just a short drive away). Hosts were friendly and suggested places to eat and visit. We were able to relax and enjoy the company of hosts and other guests. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer!

4 flights of steep steps, not good for Seniors. Not as advertised or marketed at all. There was no heat, in the morning for our rooms. Temp was 30 outside. When owner Steve responded, response was. “Sorry about that.” Beds are memory foam, can’t turn or change positions, awful. Only redeeming value was Owner Karen, very sweet, and her cute dogs.
