I have stayed at the old Kanpo Inn in Asahi, but the arrival of the shuttle bus is often crowded and I have to wait for a while. I thought the sunset could be seen in the restaurant, so I chose a room where I could see the sunrise a little cheaper. However, I can see the sunrise and the view of the sea is not good on the room side, and even in the most advanced room, I can only see the sea a little on the left side, and is it an employee dormitory in front of the room? The amount of food is relatively small, and cold dishes are arranged first, and after sitting down, they are devised to bring warm ones. I was surprised that the sashimi was delicious and the kanpachi was thick. The accommodation fee is not cheap, but it was saved because there was travel support. It was good so far, but the problem was that when I was waiting for departure on the shuttle bus on the way back, some customers who were making noise about going lost the key to the safe again, or I forgot my bag and tried to return. The elderly driver was completely confused. The driver who thought there was a person who was late finally left after 14 minutes of the person who should not come. During that time, check the list and the number of people to find out that everyone is there, but just wait. It's bad that the noisy customer inputs extra information, but the drivers who can't judge appropriately are bad. Thanks to that, I couldn't make the train I was planning, and the next schedule went crazy.

The parking lot in front of the hotel is free, with a large space and convenient parking.

大浴場ありという事とJR黒崎駅直結で便利という事で利用しました。 ホテル自体はコムシティの9階から12階なのですが、ロビーだけは道路に面した1階にあります。 駅ビル直結ではあるものの、コンコースからは一度降りる必要があるため意外と移動は面倒です。 大浴場に関しては、大浴場と呼ぶには少し誇張しすぎかなという感じで、やや狭かったです。 (ホームページでも載せていますが、盛っている感じはなく印象そのままです) それでも高齢者の方に配慮して手摺が付いているのは感心しました。 1Fのロビーにコーヒーとお茶のウェルカムドリンクサーバーが置いてあり、自由に飲むことができた事です。 この事だけでも利用して良かったと思えました。 朝食は6時半開始ということで、朝早く移動する私に取っては利用しやすい時間帯でした。 難点は、駅前にも関わらず近くにスーパーマーケットがなく(徒歩10分程)、コンビニ以外での買い出しは意外と面倒です。

Crown Palace is an exquisite hotel on the Murasaki River bank, a river that springs from Mt. Fukuchi. One of the hotel’s main feature is its gorgeous terrace restaurant with direct access to the river walk. Riverwalk Kitakyushu is a prestigious shopping centre that includes theatres, restaurants, a multiplex cinema, NHK studios, the head offices of Zenrin Co. and the Asahi Shimbun and a branch of the Kitakyushu City Art Museum. My wife and I stayed 2 times in Crown Palace this year summing about one month. Some rooms have city view but I didn’t try any. I recommend the rooms with a view over the Murasaki river. The railway station is at 10 minutes walking distance. Kokura castle, the district’s main attraction, is just across the riverbank. This was not the first year to stay in Crown Palace, so I could observe the constancy of high quality services. I was mostly impressed by the lunch, not only by the food, its presentation, but also by the way it was served. I knew Crown Palace from few years ago for the French dinners. Unfortunately, during the pandemic, dinner restaurant was closed. I recommend the deluxe double room (see my pictures). Breakfast is very good, don’t miss it. If you stay long, as we did, and wish to try other places to eat, there are plenty of restaurants and cafeterias nearby.

As others have said, the customer service was very good! The pajamas and pillows are a system that you can bring to the room by yourself, and the pillows provided in the room were very hard (laughs). The shopping street is right in front of the station, so you can enjoy it even if you go out! I felt that the customer service made up for the age and lack of amenities. Very close hotel from Shimonoseki Station. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk. The price of the original 々 is also cheap, but we were able to stay at a low price in the Go To Travel campaign. The bed is comfortable and comfortable in a clean clean room. There was also a bicycle rental (1 only) and I was able to use it for Shimonoseki sightseeing. It is 100 yen an hour. There is a little buffet of bread in the morning. It is difficult to have not many restaurants and convenience stores on the west side of Shimonoseki Station, and it is good to go to the hotel after shopping is done in front of the station.

The ramen of the noodle shop in the center of the adjacent ramen is delicious at the miso ramen shop. The guests are happy to have a drink 1 cup free including alcohol. There is also a single item, so you can easily use it as a tavern. However, the unfortunate thing is that the check-in is made by the time zone, and the procession takes too long. I was waiting for about 30 minutes when I went around 18 o'clock. Can't it be a little smoother? Because the check-out was possible by the machine, there was only one person at the front desk, and even if I tried to leave my luggage, it corresponded to other customers, and it took time and waited for a lot. I am glad to be able to temporarily leave my luggage before check-in or after out. However, when I went to take the luggage that I had temporarily kept after checking out in the evening, the customer was full at the front desk and waited for a while. I was frustrated because the time to leave the Shinkansen was approaching. It takes too long for one person. I want you to grasp the situation at the front desk at the office and respond to the empty employees. If this was not a full score, it was a pity. The language is polite.
