Hotels Near Saucedas de Buelles in Asturias

At first I was with a little doubt, to my surprise the 3-day stay was unbeatable. The food was great, clean and large rooms. My congratulations to the staff, overall impeccable trea**ent with the entire group. We will definitely return.

Hotel céntrico y cómodo, cercano al puente romano, en la plaza del pueblo, junto al Ayuntamiento. En la trasera hay un parking grande pero es de pago hasta el sábado al mediodía, aunque hay zonas cercanas para aparcar gratuitamente. El personal de recepción es agradable. La habitación muy amplia y decorada con gusto, parece renovada, un baño grande con ducha y bañera gigante. Las almohadas son cómodas y la cama grande pero en el centro había cómo una diferencia de altura, es posible que lo formaran 2 colchones de diferente grosor o 2 somieres con el ajuste de las patas diferentes. También dispone de un sofá que se convierte en cama. Las persianas tienen tecla de subida y bajada automática. Tv grande con muchos canales. En el baño, en la zona de espejos hay poca iluminación y es escasa para maquill**** o ver con nitidez la cara.... El desayuno variado con fruta, yogures, cafés e infusiones, zumo y bollería industrial pero sabroso y embutido. No hay huevos, ni bacon ni similar, pero está bien y es suficiente para salir desayunado del hotel. Si vuelvo por la zona repetiré. El hotel dispone de bar y restaurante, que tiene buena pinta, con terraza, y se ve frecuentado por los lugareños.

Hicimos una reserva de media pensión para pasar el fin de semana en Gijón. Aunque el hotel está en las afueras el precio era muy bueno y por eso creíamos que el hotel no sería gran cosa. Resultó todo lo contrario. Un hotel antiguo, que no viejo, con mucha madera y amplios espacios comunes muy bien decorados. La habitación, más que correcta, y decoración también estilo antiguo. Baño amplio con bañera. La cena fenomenal, un menú con varios platos a escoger y bebida incluida. El desayuno correcto para un hotel de 4 .estrellas. Nos llevamos una sorpresa positiva del hotel. Recomendable.

I had a terrible experience in this so-called three stars hotel, the worst I ever had while travelling. Leaving aside the smell of the curtains, the humidity, the noise from outside, no reception at night, and other details, I want to tell you what happened to me there. I came to Europe for five weeks to visit different countries. A couple of cities with friends and others on my own, which was the case in Gijón. I had made a two-night reservation in Alda Pasaje but ended up leaving early because of what I would describe as a traumatic event. On the morning of the 20th, I was awakened by a knocking on my door. When I asked who it was, they answered me ”police”. Not understanding, I asked what happened and they told me to open the door unkindly. The door had no peephole so I couldn't see who was outside. When I opened the door, I found two men in private clothes, one of whom can only be identified with a badge. They asked me for my document and I gave them my passport. They asked me several questions about when and how I arrived in Spain, both checking the stamps on my passport. I asked them what happened but they didn't give me any explanation. Seeing that what I answered matched the seals, they left. It was a very unpleasant situation, I was alone and I didn't really know if they were the police or what was going on. No one from the hotel went up with them. When I went down to reception to ask for an explanation, the woman there downplayed it, telling me that it was normal for that to happen. I have travelled through Europe before and this is the third time I have come to Spain, and I have never experienced a similar situation, nor do I know anyone who has experienced something similar. I was so traumatized that I was not able to complete my stay. I didn’t feel safe there anymore. The hotel did not refund me anything, they did not even apologize. In fact, the lady acted offended and didn't even look at me when checking out. I believe that this hotel is not up to the standards of a three stars hotel. In this world, if you are a woman on your own 10.000 kms away from home, you can understand how scary can be that two men show up at your door without notice, without uniform and with no reason to be there, asking questions and not answering any. There are better places to stay than this one for sure, DO NOT STAY THERE!

Stay here for 2 nights The hostel is located in the heart of the historic centre Oviedo, just one street away from the bustling Plaza de la Constitución and City Hall of Oviedo. The hostel is about 15 minutes walk from the main bus and train station in the city and pretty easy to find once I find my way to the city hall. Check-in was really straightforward as the hostel asked me to check in online and all reception needed was my passport to confirm my identity. I was shown all around the hostel, including the kitchen, common area and of course the dorm. The dorm was a four bed dorm with 2 bunk beds and an ensuite bathroom with toilet, shower and bathtub. The shower and toilets worked well. The bunks were the wooden frame variety, although it was pretty sturdy. Even though my bunkmate was a bit of a night owl, I still got 2 nights of good sleep. The mattress was some kind of thick foam and really comfortable. The covers were thick and I had asked for an extra blanket. Even though it was cold, it still felt warm and cosy under the blankets. Breakfast was provided and mainly consisted of cereals, toasts and spreads, tea and coffee. Nothing fancy, but good for the price of the stay. The kitchen and plenty of utensils as well as cooking equipment, and could be used by guests for cooking too. The hostel is also situated on two floors, with the upper floor also containing rooms, a kitchen and a terrace. It was too cold to use at this time of the year, but I did wander up and it has a lovely view of the city hall. The hostel, room and bathroom were kept clean throughout my stay. The staff are awesome, friendly and helpful. They have lots of information for things to do and see in Oviedo and the surrounding area. I would have no hesitation staying at Green Hostel again.

Surpass expectations of detail front desk customer satisfaction service. Our experience was A/C not cooling room. The front desk asked the maintenance specialist to check the room temperature, we asked for a fan they gave us a standing fan. The dinning room staff surpassed expectations, for a large group as we were 25 it was a buffet style, fresh foods, labeled. I recommend this hotel 100%

I love the character of this hotel, its charm is special and the rooms have a class. This time I was disappointed by the continuous passage of people from a colloquium, the noise of the rolling plate of the room service and I had neighbors especially the second night when I heard everything: their discussion, their physical noise, their television. It was hell, and I realized I was in a larger room, a passage through a simple door communicated with the next room (109/107). The hotel has a very good location, and it is very good for you to find a good location. On the other hand my room was quiet, but without double glass, the goods passing the night made me a party! The restaurant Mil Cent is in the centre of the hotel, with a nice restaurant, good products, pleasant reception, excellent iberic jam, Dilmah tea. Whilst lovely, this is barely a hotel, and certainly not five stars. It is a conference and wedding venue that seems to try and sell its rooms to private guests during the week. While the staff are delightful and very helpful, and the venue is beautiful, the facilities and service are very limited. There is no pool or spa (despite these being pictured on all the holiday websites we looked at). Although the staff did say they'd taken the spa photos down on their own website, this was not made clear at the time of booking. During the week there is an extremely limited menu of just five basic items available to eat (lunch and dinner) - and as the hotel is a good 15min drive from the nearest town, this was a serious issue. The room (we had a junior suite) was absolutely beautiful but again, clearly a wedding venue rather than a hotel - no room service, and very few amenities - although the surrounding park and walks are lovely. We came here for a quiet and romantic holiday away without our children and to be fair, we achieved that. However, I would warn anyone who thinks that this is a ”hotel” to beware - it is not, it is a very charming conference centre and certainly every day we were there, they had a big event and we felt very much in the way. We ended up staying elsewhere for the last two nights of our stay, as there are far nicer places in the area - something the Castillo did not seem surprised by and did not ask us why we were staying elsewhere or if anything was wrong. When we finally checked out, despite having paid in advance, the (again charming) lady at reception had no idea that we'd already paid, and there was confusion over whether we had to pay again. We left with not a good taste, and sadly - although we have nothing bad to say about the staff or the location, both of which are very nice - we would not come back. However, other people seem to have had a lovely time here so perhaps it depends what you are looking for, and what your standards are. Final word though: cannot fault the staff, all of whom were courteous, charming, spoke perfect English, and were very patient and polite.

We absolutely loved this hotel decided to stay there at last minute because it’s only about a 15 minute drive from Asturias airport . It’s in a beautiful peaceful setting with fabulous views and lovely garden . Staff at reception so friendly and helpful . Hotel is very Spanish in style with a very comfortable feel. Public areas furnished in traditional style really comfortable. Rooms very spacious, large bed ,fabulous large bathroom really well equipped. We had dinner which was great value and really good at €30 each which included a lovely bottle of Rioja . There is a Spa here too which unfortunately we didn’t have time to sample . The hotel would be a great base for touring all the towns , villages and beaches in the region . Cudillero only about 20 mins drive , Saint Esteban about 10 mins drive . Our only regret was that we would have loved to stay for a week . We’ll definitely be back !!
