Honestly, I don't know how they have the various 5-star ratings. When I went there recently, I was thoroughly disappointed. There is no lift and no wifi in the rooms. We got fairly dodgy vibes and I would definitely not recommend this to anyone, particularly families with kids.

We got a one bedroom apar**ent located on the 5th floor facing the Nile. There is a kitchenette and a sitting area. There is no elevator so if you do not want to climb the stairs you should get a room on a lower floor. This hotel does not provide standard amenities including hygiene products (body wash, shampoo, and conditioner) except a bright blue color bar soap. The towels are in very bad shape and should have been replaced years ago. The hotel says wifi is available in the lobby but there was no wifi in the lobby for the two days we were there. The breakfast was very basic and did not start until 7:30 am. You can request a breakfast box if you need to leave early for Abu Simbel. I think the breakfast box was better than the breakfast they served in the restaurant on the 2nd floor. The location of the hotel is very convenient. If I visit Aswan again I will stay somewhere else.

The hotel is very good and the staff is very nice and friendly. The location is in the heart of the city and overlooking the fascinating view of the legendary river Nile. Highly recommended for budget travelers.

The hotel is Very decent and clean. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The great thing is that the hotel is close to every attraction in Aswan. Its location is great and on the Nile. The rooms are very clean with great view on the Nile.

No WiFi but ironically I have two refrigerators in my room, water pressure is too weak to do a basic shower even for a small size Asian, no elevate, mattress is as hard as towers, flies are in the room, towers look not so clean, rooms are too old, it definitely and desperately needs a renovation! Location is probably the only highlight,

Que dire sur cet hôtel, sinon qu'il est très bruyant, des chambres qui ont besoin non pas d'un rafraîchissement, mais d'un ravalement complet. Des lampes de chevet aux fils électriques dénudés, éviers souvent bouchés, des serviettes de toilettes au compte goutte, des interrupteurs qui ne fonctionnent pas, normal car parfois pas d'ampoule. Cerise sur le gâteau, dépêchez-vous de prendre votre douche, car plus d'eau rapidement. Pour les personnes qui ont des difficultés physiques, désolé pas d'ascenseur. Des fenêtres qui ferment mal ou pas du tout. Un point positif, le petit déjeuner est copieux. Tout comme l'hôtel Emilio à Louxor, ne plus l'indiquer dans guides touristiques.

Hotel itself is okay …but there is no WI -FI, unless you’re happy to sit in the foyer. When I complained, they did say that they are aware and getting it fixed, so maybe it will be soon. Only when you don’t have it do you realise how reliant on it we are these days.

Buon hotel affacciato sul Nilo. Dall'altra parte della passeggiata si possono trovare i proprietari delle felucche per navigare sul fiume, un'esperienza da consigliare. I taxi per visitare le principali località lontane da Assuan stazionano proprio di fronte all'albergo (sempre necessario trattare, come per la felucca, visto che il prezzo iniziale proposto è sempre molto più alto rispetto a quello poi praticato). Parte da sotto l'hotel anche il minibus per Abu Simbel: per prenotarlo rivolgersi alla reception. Nelle vicinanze dell'hotel si possono raggiungere i ristoranti nubiani e dal lungofiume si può prendere il battello di linea per raggiungere l'isola nubiana (un popolo fantastico e un'esperienza assolutamente da non perdere). Lo staff dell'hotel era gentile e competente. Servizi buoni. Una buona scelta per Assuan.
