The location is incredible, nestled in the mountains. The staff are incredibly polite and efficient. The rooms are traditional but with with tasteful modern additions. The on-site onsens are incredible after a long day of sightseeing. And the food was unbelievable. I’m not sure where they stole this guy from but there’s a Michelin starred restaurant missing its head chef.

フロントが４階、１～３階が客室で下に階段をくだってゆく造りになっている宿。 崖に建つ保養所をリノベーションしたので、エレベータを増築するのは無理だったようだ。古さを感じる階段はステップが狭く、比較的急。レストランやフロント、ラウンジは４階なので利用するたび階段を昇り降りしなければならない。バリアフリー配慮が無いのでお年寄りには酷。エレベータが無いということを目立つようにアナウンスした方が良いと思う。 ２０１６年にリニューアルしたとなっているが、前面改装はランク上の「うきふね」「あおい」二部屋のみとのこと。 私が宿泊した部屋は「ふじばかま」という２階の八畳の部屋。この部屋は部分改装（洗面所、窓など）だった。鍵開け式のお粗末なドアと薄暗く狭い部屋を見た瞬間、がっかりした。宿のHPは前面改装した部屋の素敵な写真がメインになっているので、誤解してしまう部分もある。 汚れの目立つ洗面所の床、建具の傷、家より小さく映りの悪いTV、トイレの流れも悪い。うるさい換気扇を止めると、古い建造物独特の匂いがする。部屋露天は循環、湯口から湯が出てないので温泉感に乏しい。 口コミで冷蔵庫のビールなどドリンクフリーと書いてあったのだが、ペットボトルのお茶と水しかなかった。自販機も無かった。朝食のみのプランだったためだろうか。 夜中に大きな蜘蛛が出現、壁を動き回り就寝中に寝床に入ってくるのではないか不安で、ほとんど眠れなかった。 ユーチューブ動画やいくつかのホテル予約サイトの口コミなど事前リサーチをかなりしたのだが、想像とは落差があった。 某宿泊予約サイトで非常に評価が高い宿だが、私の口コミは載らなかった。悪い口コミは載せないのかもしれない。 口コミは載らないのに宿から返答がきた。 「客室設えの経年劣化によりご不快な思いを抱かせてしまいましたこと併せてお詫び申し上げます。特にお泊まりいただきましたお部屋については、比較的価格帯を考慮してご案内しています」 朝食付きで５万以上するので、考慮されてるとは感じにくかった。

口コミが高評価で以前から気になってたお宿なので、利用させて頂きました。 普段同じ価格帯のお宿には行っていて、大浴場が無いのとお部屋の作りとロビーの広さを考えると割高な感じがしました。 お部屋は立地の関係で特別室以外はお風呂から除かないと景観が無いし、部屋のお風呂に入る際、まる見えになるのでカーテンを閉めると暗いのでお籠り型のお宿にしては圧迫感のあるお部屋です。 朝夕共、食事は美味しかったですが 余り記憶に残らないです。 接客は若いスタッフさんが多かったですが笑顔でもてなされてる感じがしました。 送迎も熱海からあるのは便利だったです。

スタッフの方は皆親切で、とても良くしてくださいました。 また、テラスから綺麗に花火が見えて、大変楽しめました。 部屋の露天風呂は2人ゆうに入れるほど広く、お部屋のお香も落ち着きました。 ただ、高い宿泊料に見合う宿かと言われれば…NOでした。 私が一番不満だったのは、他のお客との距離が近すぎたことです。 部屋の露天風呂は、隣と木の壁で仕切られているだけなので、隣の部屋の音がダダ洩れでした。 私たち夫婦が会話をしながら露天風呂に入っていたとき、隣の部屋の露天風呂からかなり大きな音で、バシャーン！バシャーン！と、仕切りの壁にお湯をかけてるのか？と思うほど大きな音を立てられました。おそらく我々の話し声がうるさいから、わざと音を立てて気づかせたのでしょうけど…。気分悪かったです。 それから気づいたのですが、隣の方が肩にお湯をかけている小さな音までハッキリ聞こえるレベルで、隣と風呂が隣接してます。 また夕食は、ダイニングで目の前の夜景を見ながら2人並んで食べる形なのですが、テーブルが狭く、かつテーブルの前が通路になっており、隣の席と薄い壁で区切られているだけなので、やはりここも隣の会話の内容まで全部丸聞こえでした。 お隣が年齢差が激しいカップルで、女性が若くて元気のよい方であったがゆえに余計に会話が聞こえてしまい（汗） 向こうの声が丸聞こえということは、こちらの声も丸聞こえなんだろうなと思うと、あまり声出さないように食事しなきゃと気を使ってしまい、くつろいだ気分では食事できませんでした。 同じ金額を出せば、もっと静かにくつろげる宿は他にいくらでもあるため、2度目はないかなと思いました。
