Prince Smart Inn Atami ★★★
"This Prince-branded inn in Atami is fantastic! Although the room was a bit small, the location is super convenient (just a 3-minute walk from the JR station and bus terminal). Getting to the MOA Museum and COEDA house was a breeze with the shuttle bus. The hotel's decor is simple and modern, and the smart speaker ('Xiaomei Xi') was a cool bonus."
Atami Seaside Spa & Resort ★★★
"Hotels services is good. The room is pretty big and tidy, feeling comfortable in it. Walk for 2-3mins to 7-11 or Lawson. Public onsen provides inside and outside experience. The only disappointed is there is a Group of HK people arrived, there is a man full of tatoo get in public onsen. I checked the rules at front door. It mentioned Tatoo is prohibited. This kind of stupid HK people is a shame for HK when they travel around in Japan. Dont understand the culture of Japan. No parking area for loading, Car parking needs to use next hotel, a bit inconvenience if you carrying few luggages. 🧳"
ARyokan Kingetsu Atami Sanso Shuttle service ★★★★
"The hotel was clean and comfortable. Our room was large. Food was tasty and staff was friendly. The hotel is not near anything, but this is not a problem as they offer a free shuttle service. Onsen was small but nice, indoors only."
Atami Korakuen Hotel ★★★★
"Nice service with friendly staff, good breakfast, nice view"
ATAMI KAKUREZATO(Atami Retreat) ★★★
"We booked a Japanese-style room, number 302. It was incredibly spacious, and what really stood out was how perfectly suited it was for Chinese guests. The proprietress is Chinese, and the owner even studied in Inner Mongolia, China. Both were exceptionally kind and helpful. They provided detailed information on Atami's transportation and attractions, and offered great advice on how to explore Izu. At checkout, the owner even went the extra mile and drove us to the train station."
ATAMI SPRING TERRACE HOTEL ★★★
"It has a shared toilet and a Japanese-style room, and you have to make your own bed. It has the flavor of local travel in Japan! You can watch Atami Beach and the sunrise from the rooftop terrace, which is beautiful. It is very inconvenient to carry luggage up and down the mountain. It is recommended to take a taxi, but it is not far from the beach and shopping street, but the entire Atami is on a slope. If you know how to use it, checking in without anyone is actually quite convenient."
La Vista ATAMI Terrace(Kyoritsu Resort) Grand Opening on March 31, 2026 ★★★★★
"Overall, I'll still give it five stars. Not many Chinese people come to this area, as it's better to drive yourself. Coming by train is quite troublesome, as you'd have to call the hotel shuttle to pick you up, and wait for a long time. Alright, this hotel is still worth experiencing, and I'll elaborate further. The hotel has an entrance on the seaside road, where you can take an unmanned inclined elevator up to the 6th-floor lobby. I think this inclined elevator is the hotel's biggest unique feature. Once you reach the 6th floor, you can check in. There are several self-check-in machines, and they support Chinese, which is very convenient. The entire hotel is divided into three buildings (though it should really be two). As long as you can figure out the elevators, you're all set. Take the elevator from check-in down to the third floor to find the Salone, which offers free beer, sodas (over a dozen types), a fully automatic coffee machine, ice cream, and cookies – all complimentary. Just be mindful of the time slots. The fourth floor has the hot springs, and the fifth floor has the restaurant. It's best to book the restaurant in advance; I couldn't get a reservation during my entire stay. There are also many smoking rooms, almost on every floor. The room isn't big, but it's very thoughtfully designed. It comes with a prepared hot spring basket. There are slippers, four tissue boxes, and the fridge has two bottles of orange juice and mineral water, all free. The cleanliness of the room deserves the highest rating; even the glass overlooking the sea was spotless. Gazing at that sea, it's easy to get lost in past memories... Wiping away the tears, let's continue. The Atami hot springs have a slight hint of seaweed and the water is salty (yes, I tasted it). There are four private single rooms; no reservation is needed, you can just go in if they're empty. The co-ed hot spring requires a reservation, but the others don't, and they operate almost 24 hours a day. I always went for a soak around 2 AM, and there was no one else there, avoiding any awkwardness. It's very convenient to get around from here. Opposite the inclined elevator on the first floor is a Lawson convenience store, and beyond Lawson, towards the sea, is the beach. From the 6th-floor front desk, there's an uphill slope, followed by two sets of stairs, leading to a food street. At the end of the food street are Atami Station and the largest supermarket in the area. However, it closes at 7 PM... and my daughter doesn't get out of school until 7 PM. The fourth floor is worth visiting for a drink; you can see the entire city and the sea from there. There are many restaurants nearby, and popular ones always have queues during meal times. Finally, a complaint: the hotel's parking lot is hard to find. It's up a small road off the main street. And it's a multi-story car park, so 9-11 AM is peak time for picking up cars, and it takes at least half an hour. I later parked in the car park next to Lawson; it was double the price of the hotel parking but much more convenient."
Hotel Resorpia Atami ★★★★
"This hotel is so bad that it made even a lazy person like me write a lengthy review. It completely shattered my perception that Japanese hotels, no matter how old, are always clean. First, when we dropped off our luggage at 10 AM, we specifically requested a high-floor room. However, when we returned to the hotel at 6 PM, we were still given a room on the lowest floor, the third, and it was at the very end of the corridor (in the area where you have to carry your luggage up steps). Then, the hotel's cleanliness was the worst I've ever experienced in a Japanese hotel. The hallways were crawling with various unidentified flying insects, and there were dead insects on the floor. There were even buzzing, large flying insects lurking in the corridors, making every trip back to the room feel like an escape. There were mosquitoes in the room, and small flying insects on the tatami floor, which meant our whole family couldn't get a peaceful night's sleep. Finally, the onsen public bath was just a simple bathhouse. There were only two rudimentary pools, both inside and out, and the overall environment was dirty, messy, and poor. It felt nothing like a hot spring hotel. And last but not least, the so-called buffet dinner was like a factory canteen, with seats so close together you could reach over and grab food from your neighbor's plate, which completely killed our appetite. You truly don't deserve a price tag of over 2800 per night!!!"
Atami Onsen Relax Resort Hotel ★★★★
"Really good, worth recommending, but the facilities are a little less, otherwise it would be full marks 💯"

HOTEL KANICHI
"An amazing place to stay with a location which is near lots of restaurants and even a grocery store. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach. Also there are private hot springs on the top floor which are constantly available and free to use! Loved this hotel very much and it made the stay at Atami very magical and memorable. Thank you for the great time!"
Pearl Star Hotel Atami
"Probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in Japan, close to Atami station, and every room in this hotel has the sea view, which is extremely beautiful when it’s sunny. The rooms are spacious and very very clean, the private onsen has private TV for you to relax in the hot bath. They also have public open air onsen on the top floor. Next time I probably will try the room with private onsen on the balcony. The hotel also offers free gym, free minibar and free lounge, love it. And the most importantly, the hotel staff are very helpful and polite. They provided helpful advices on transportation to different sightseeing places and booked free shuttle for my family to Atami station. Will 100% revisit next time I come to Atami."
LiVEMAX RESORT ATAMI SEA FRONT
"I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. The breakfast, in particular, offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, making for a luxurious start to the day. The rooftop offered a fantastic view of Atami Castle, which really enhanced the travel experience. I loved the spacious private bath in the room, where I could relax and take a dip anytime I wanted. The complimentary shaved ice was a delightful treat, especially welcome during the hot season. The staff were consistently polite and friendly throughout my stay, which made for a very pleasant experience. The amenities were also excellent, showing great attention to detail. I would definitely want to stay at this wonderful hotel again when I visit Atami next time."

"Highly recommend this hotel to everyone! I have to thank the hotel team, I had a wonderful stay with my family. Upon arrival we are taking good care by hotel staffs, you will never get bored after check in, you could enjoy afternoon tea at lounge and have foot bath, they have variety choices of drinks and snacks; the dinner was fantastic! Best of the best! better than many Omakase restaurant outside, it’s really very good. In the morning, before enjoy hotel breakfast, you could enjoy coffee at their coffee bar, good coffee and sweets too, you could choose your prefer type of coffee and even coffee cup, it’s really an enjoyable stay."

"Everything was there, and I really enjoyed it."
Hotel Grand Bach Atami Crescendo
"A very unique hotel, full of musical vibes and a calming atmosphere."
Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Atami
"The views from this hotel are absolutely stunning. The front desk area and lounge are spacious, with large windows offering panoramic ocean views – truly spectacular. The public bath facilities, including both indoor and semi-open-air baths, also boast magnificent views. Towels and amenities are provided. The rooms are spacious, allowing for a comfortable and relaxing stay. While the hotel shows its age a bit, it's very clean. We had two large beds pushed together, which was perfect for our family of three to sleep comfortably. The front desk can arrange for bottle sterilizer sets and cribs upon request. For meals, we had both dinner and breakfast from the buffet this time. There was a wide selection of dishes, and we were happy with the price. Overall, I thought the service was good, but it didn't quite feel like great value for the price. This might be because our child is only 0 years old, so we couldn't fully enjoy all the activities. I imagine it would be a much better stay once our child is older and we can take full advantage of the activities."

Atami Kinjokan
"I stayed for two nights. When I made the reservation, it wasn't listed as a buffet, but I was informed it was a buffet upon check-in. It was the same buffet both nights. I felt they should be more considerate for guests staying multiple nights."
Livemax Resort Atami Forest
"I went with high expectations because the buffet had such a good reputation. While the variety wasn't enormous, the steak was tender and delicious, and I was satisfied with the salmon roe, sashimi, and other items. I was especially happy to find my favorites, whitebait and grated yam. The curry was also good. Breakfast was satisfying. The hot spring was spacious and very relaxing. The hotel staff were all very pleasant. It was well worth the price."

Hotel Sunmi Club Bekkan
"The exhaust vent in this room is very loud/103 For some reason, I can hardly sleep unless I'm tired."
Atami Sekitei
"The service was excellent, with attentive butler service from the moment you walk in. The Japanese-style room was spotless, with a living room, a spacious bedroom, and a small courtyard decorated with plants, creating a truly Japanese-style atmosphere. The Japanese dinner was a truly ceremonial experience, served in a spacious, private dining room. The food was fresh and delicious. The room also included complimentary alcohol, a hot spring bath, and two reservable outdoor private baths. The entire hotel environment was incredibly elegant, like being in a Japanese garden. It was a truly wonderful stay!"
