It was very fast check in, the breakfast was simple but very good and on time. Easy check-out. They have a pretty rooftop view.

Location is good. Near Acropolis station and is walkable to the plaka area and the syntagma.

Cozy hostel. Walkable to Acropolis

This was my first time staying in a hostel, as well as staying in a 6 bed mixed dorm, so I was a bit unsure at first but that changed from the second I got there. The staff and everyone that I met there were just great and so friendly! The rooftop bar was simply amazing! Not even a 2 seconds up there and you meet a whole bunch of new friends from all over the world. Oh! Not to forget the great view you get of the Acropolis from the roof top at night! Without a doubt, I will be staying here again when I come back to Athens! Thankyou for making my solo trip here something to remember

The first floor is a bar A free glass of welcome wine The location is also good, next to the busiest neighborhood The elevator is a bit scary... But I didn't tell you in advance that I would have to borrow a hair dryer from the first floor. It took me a long time to search in the room upstairs🫠 Then the lights in the bathroom are sensor-controlled I took a shower for ten minutes and turned off the lights almost 50 times== I feel quite irritable 😡 Attached is a photo of the cat at the door

I had a good rest and a good stay~ The facilities are good and clean. It's in a good location, so you can walk around and see everything.

I would like to go again. I had a good rest. I am also satisfied with the breakfast. Thank you~

Just normal anyway

We found this to be such a subpar hostel. Have stayed here twice now and both times have been pretty poor. Firstly, on entering our dorm room one of the “free” beds had been slept in- which I must say could have been one of our roommates switching beds, but not really a nice first impression. Secondly, there aren’t any curtains on the bunks, which usually we can look past but the lights in the ensuites work on a sensor…so the whole room is woken up when someone goes to the toilet at night, not a very nice sleep! Thirdly, on our second stay we chose a private room- thinking this would maybe come with amenities that reflected the price, such as a made bunk bed and stain free towels!? Alas no, the bunk bed we had to make ourself but with difficulty as they hadn’t provided all of the bed linen. And towels that have definitely seen better days and would make better dish rags than bath towels. Also, soap in the dispensers of the private room would be nice too! All seemingly nit picky concerns, but the amalgamation of so caused for frustrating stays!

I enjoyed my stay at Athens Backpackers. Both the front door and the dorm door were accessed by keypad, so I didn't have to keep track of a keycard or a key. The dorm code was 12 digits, impossible for me to memorize. The included cold breakfast was varied and satisfying. The bar was a nice touch. My compliments center on the dorm itself. The lockers were large and held luggage, not all of them had shelves, so we were constantly digging through our bags for what we needed. The only hook was on the back of the bathroom door. No where to hang your wet towel to dry. The only mirror in the dorm was in the bathroom. If they added 1 or 2 hooks for each bed, some shelves or table to set things and an extra mirror in the room, I would give a solid 5 star rating.

First the hostel was not as good as it was the years before, because of the prices, they were much higher. But then I met Johny at the reception, we were talking the 1st evening for 2 hours for everything. Next evening I was at the bar with Johny, Martin, Walther and Ami. The reason to come here is Johny, Martin, Walther and Ami.

Absolutely amazing hostel. The room was exceptionally clean and cosy and give you lots of privacy. The bathroom was also super clean. Additionally, there was an unreal atmosphere on the rooftop where you can have drinks, meet new people and admire the view of the acropolis. This hostel is in a safe area with easy access to all the important monuments. Would recommend this stay to anyone travelling to Athens.

We had a mixed experience at Athens backpackers. The location and service was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and kind. However, the lift was broken and we had to carry our suitcases up 4 flights of stairs. We had a 2 person private room which was very clean, but it was very small with no aircon.

Everything was great, location, breakfast, friendly staff. Only two things to mind are if you are too close to the rooftop you'll hear all the chatter and the AC is very strong, had to sleep with a sweater .
