Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel

Stayed here for the GT graduation ceremony. Location close to Tech Square, there are plenty restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Comfortable quiet room, even when busy the reception desk was very patient and courteous.

For the price paid, I consider the hotel overrated, with poor service, one cleaning person for a whole floor, poor restaurant service.

Very good Hotel in a perfect Location! Amazing Staff

The Renaissance is a nice hotel but nothing special or remarkable about it in any way. There is no “charm” and it was essentially a generic room where we slept. Room was clean, spacious and well located.

Renaissance Midtown was clean, updated, and centrally located. However, there were a number of other issues with the hotel. The phone didn't work, the safe didn't work, and the door lock didn't work very well. Additionally, the hotel charged me for parking every day even though I didn't have a car. Calls to rectify have been unreturned for weeks afterwards. The phone didn't get a dial tone at all. I was on a busy business trip, and tried to call room service twice. The first time, after I dialed "0", it rang another guest's room. I even tried calling the phone number for the hotel from my cellphone to get to the front desk but could not -- even when I chose the menu item to speak to the front desk I was sent to a reservation center that did not know how to put me in touch with the hotel. I had to go downstairs and wait in the restaurant twice for food. The safe also did not work. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to wait on someone to come and fix it, so I couldn't give them the opportunity to do that. The door lock didn't work particularly well. One time, after leaving the room I realized I had forgotten something and literally pushed the supposedly locked door open. After that I pulled very tightly to lock the door and never felt particularly secure because the safe also did not work. At night I used the additional inner locking mechanism. Finally, the hotel charged me for daily parking that I didn't use. (They said they emailed me the receipt but did not -- I went back in to get a print out but had a Lyft waiting so ran off without inspecting in detail.) I called them to rectify the parking but they put me through to a machine and no one has called back. I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

Very clean, welcoming, and friendly! The hotel is very beautiful, I love the artwork it definitely stands out. There is an amazing aroma that creates a luxurious ambiance. Such a beautiful place & city view! I was very satisfied with everything only issue we had was the door lock gets stuck so it doesn’t always close you have turn it from the inside and try to hurry & close it to make sure it will lock when leaving! We felt as if we were in a very safe area, valet was phenomenal although they are a 3rd party they represent their company/hotel in a very good way. Walking distance to some amazing restaurants! We really enjoyed our stay & my overall experience was awesome!

Excellent hotel! We come here often for a staycation and the staff is always friendly. Mike at the front desk is top notch and always makes us feel welcome and special! The rest and bar staff are always friendly as well. Friendly service, nice rooms and a great breakfast! The hotel is conveniently located near everything. Highly recommend it!

Great hotel

Easy walk to the Fox and short Uber to downtown. The staff is super kind and helpful.
