Best Hotels in Attinghausen, Switzerland

We stayed for the umpteenth time in this wonderful family hotel. The rooms are individually designed in a modern style and clean. The hotel is easily accessible from the motorway, but is still in a quiet location. The breakfast has everything we needed. The dinner was very tasty, both the guest room and the breakfast room are modern and discreet. In short, a hotel to relax and unwind after a long drive. The hotelier couple is very warm and takes care of all wishes. We'd love to come back.

Beautiful, clean, fresh smell of wood in the room. The shower was excellent. The entire facility is beautiful and clean with great service on top of a mountain in Switzerland. The funicular that brings you up to the lodge is so cool with the best views. There is a parking lot at the bottom of the mountain at the funicalar entrance for 14 francs/day. The lodge is right next to the funicular. The breakfast buffet is really good quality extra charge. Beautiful hiking trails. Everything is perfect at this lodge. Highly recommend.

Located right in the epicenter of Engelberg and practically 150m from the train station. Arrival was extremely welcoming by a young lady who not only was professional but also made sure all is in place. We stayed three nights and the room was very confortable and clean. Special credit to the pet friendlyness as we travel with a small dog. The downsides were related to the F&B section : The bartender at the bar was unattentive. Also the service attitude at breakfast left some wide space for improvement even though the breakfast itself was very good with a wide selection of things available. From one positive extreme to another left us with mixed feelings. The Regina Titlis (Now H+ Hotel) used to be the best place in town but unfortunately no longer.

Ich habe das Höhenhotel über meinen Geburtstag besucht. Der Empfang war nett, zuvorkommend in Bezug auf den angefragten Zimmerwechsel, aufmerksam im Restaurant. Ich habe mich sehr über die Aufmerksamkeit im Zimmer zu meinem Geburtstag gefreut, wie auch den dekorierten Tisch. ☺️ Das Frühstücksbüffet wie auch das Halbpensionsmenü waren sehr gut und ausreichend. Beim HP Menü hat man sogar die Möglichkeit, den ein oder anderen Gang auszutauschen. Toll! Die Aussicht vom Zimmer und vom Park auf den See und die Berge sind atemberaubend. Das Hotel liegt etwas oberhalt von Emmetten. Das Hotel bieten flexibel einen Shuttle an, der die Gäste zum Hotel oder ins Dorf bringen. Kostenlos. Tolle Dienstleistung. Hallenbad und Dampfbad sind sehr sauber. Im Hallenbad ist es recht laut, was wahrscheinlich so sein muss. Das ist etwas schade. Eine Sauna wäre schön. In meinem Quality Time Package war eine Massage mit dabei. Die war ok. Nächstes Mal würde ich jedoch eine Frau für die Behandlung bevorzugen. Das ganze Personal war durchwegs freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich war bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal im Seeblick Höhenhotel.

We temporarily decided to stay in Engelberg for one night and another weekend, so the entire hotel in Engelberg can be booked and the price is higher. After the check-in, the room was quite big, but the equipment was very simple, probably the same as the domestic 168, there is a small balcony. The hotel has a good breakfast, the hotel has a good location, and a new hotel is built next to it. The car park is right behind the hotel.

Superb stay for a few days of business..staff were great at looking after the team with all needs. Food was great (if a little limited options), view is lovely across the lake and the rooms were quiet good too - seem to have learned from previous reviews and added a fan. It isn’t the kind of hotel for bellhops so if that’s what you need, head elsewhere but with on site parking, a good breakfast and close to the mountain, it was worth the stay!

I have the pleasure of reviewing the Youth hostel in Engelberg, which I had the opportunity to visit during a school trip. Unfortunately, I have to note that the rooms were filled with an unpleasant fragrance, the wifi was out of service and I found it deeply disgusting that the duvets and pillows were not washed but were covered only by pillowcases of dubious hygiene. In pushing the duvet cover aside, I spotted a strangely colored stain that seemed to be an affirmation of lack of attention to cleaning, so I decided to sleep without it. Unfortunately, the smell forced us to keep the windows open during the night, making the experience even less comfortable. The quality of the food did not meet expectations, especially the meat consumed by me and my roommates caused us intestinal discomfort. The only positive aspect of the Youth hostel in Engelberg is represented by the view of the landscape that can be admired from the windows. In conclusion, I do not recommend this accommodation to anyone, as there are certainly far better alternatives.

I booked a three night stay here for myself and son aged 2.5. I found the journey from Zurich airport easy. I took the train to HB then changed to a train to Brunnen. I did switch at Zug. Then the 504 bus to the hotel was 10 minutes from Brunnen station. Overall it took just under 2 hours. There was some confusion at check in. I booked via ********** and assumed I was in the hotel. I was not aware there were apartments, and these are treated differently from hotel guests. After discussing this with management, we agreed I could pay an additional fee to be treated as a hotel guest. This was much better as it included full board food for my son, breakfast for both of us, towels/robes and lots more extras. Had I just been in the apartment, I would have had to check out at 10am whereas hotel/hostel is 11am. Also check in for apartments is at 4pm whereas hotel/hostel in 3pm. Breakfast is charged at CHF 27 per person/per day and children’s meals are CHF 9 per meal. Also, the gym is charged at CHF 15 per person/per day. As you can see it can get very expensive. I found the apartment to be very spacious and comfortable. It was frustrating having to navigate finding the apartment in the dark as the signs were not clear and it was difficult to navigate some steps with the buggy. The restaurant was great for the children’s meals/ Plenty to choose from. The restaurants did get busy but I never booked and was always able to get a table. At lunch I did not want to eat so little one only ate, I felt like the waitresses did not like this and kept asking if I wanted to order something. The kids facilities are the best. The play area is great with lots of fun toys. Sadly parents let their children run unsupervised but that’s not the hotels fault. Ethan also went to TOM’s Happy Club one morning whilst I went to the gym. The pool was also great. Plenty to keep the children entertained. We also enjoyed the cinema room. There isn’t much local to the hotel unless you have a car but we were only there for a few days so it was ok for us. Overall I would recommend this hotel for families. So much to keep children happy. J'ai passé 3 nuits dans ce mignon hôtel. Très joli, bcp de bois, calme. Le bruit de la rivière et les cloches des vaches, magnifique... Personnel prévenant, chambre impeccable. A 5 minutes de la ville, avec une vue imprenable. J'y retournerai.
