Fantastic stay.. booked for 3 rd time. It’s a marvellous place for budgeting travellers. 24 hours Reception counter service that make you not left out in case you need emergency help.

I don’t normally stay at YMCA But I have been using their gym for pre training few time instead of pay 3x for the hotel 24km away I tried YMCA as I just a clean bed shower and toilet for one and train early in the more after arriving at the hotel 22:30 I worked out great standard single bed clean and tidy All the common area showers toilets tidy and clean The room doesn’t have AC but a fan with window open worked ok to circulate the air at 18C outside temp Single bed room Photos just like in the ads Level 4 men shower rose/water pressure was not working really well but ok for me just one night

Highly recommended for those traveling with a budget. Place is clean, convenient, and secured. Hot shower and clean bathroom. Kitchen available for those who wants to use it.

An excellent hostel located in a strategic location. Parking available for additional cost and they do have everything available for a backpacker. Good for long stay as well. Near and clean washrooms, dining area, you have everything you need.

It was my first night in Auckland. Basic facilities are available. The kitchen was a bit small. Staff wes friendly.

Clean room and sheets, not sure why the toilets had 0 amenities (no soap, no shampoo, no conditioner, but there is a hair dryer and straightener) and the shower room didnt have frosted windows and was directly facing the street which was funny. Room has heating and AC

Great place to stay with warm vibes. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Can be a bit noisy at times, but overall the stay is very good value. Good location as well.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the whole building was very clean and well maintained. The room I was in was small but well organized and even offered a small fridge separate from the main kitchen fridges.

It was clean and nice. My biggest worry was the bathroom, but it was very clean. The location is good for taking the bus, and the price is less than 50,000 won for a single room. Recommended for solo travelers.

This is my first time traveling alone to New Zealand, and my first time to Auckland, New Zealand. I looked at many hotels online but didn’t book them in advance. I also looked at the (YMCA) hostel in Auckland, but when I saw a lot of bad reviews, I didn’t book. I boldly booked a bed on the second day after arriving in Auckland. It was a great experience. It is the first choice for young people or friends who want to save travel expenses. It is economical and the environment is very good. There are bathrooms and toilets shared exclusively for women, as well as a shared kitchen and activity room. Special thanks go to Joyce, the girl at the front desk. She is very patient. You can ask her any questions. Her service attitude is good and she does not make mistakes. It is recommended that all the guests staying here come to her for check-in and other matters. Another time, when it came to luggage storage, a front desk guy was really bad at his job and couldn't explain clearly. The key deposit actually told me the room fee. I was surprised. I was surprised that the hotel reservation I made on Ctrip was also false. I had already paid for the hotel reservation. Fortunately, I met Monica at the hotel. She is a very nice Chinese person and was very kind to help explain. Only to avoid a huge misunderstanding. It is recommended that the hotel improve the level of front desk service, and I am very grateful to these two beauties, Joyce and Monica. They are very familiar with the work process and have a very good service attitude. I just stayed in this hotel for 3 more nights. I plan to bring my family and four friends to Auckland, New Zealand in 2024. Since I already have travel experience, I chose YMCA Hostel as my first choice. 80% of it is due to the service attitude and professional proficiency of Joyce and Monica. In the future, I will also recommend friends who are traveling to New Zealand to stay at this hotel. It is really good.

The hotel has been renovated as a whole, but the rooms are still very old, and the windows are even cracked. The common problem of old houses is that the sound insulation is very poor. There are still people running around in the corridors, chatting, and talking on the phone until after 11 o'clock at night. If you don't sleep well, don't use it Considering it, the eight-dollar breakfast is so small that it can be ignored. However, the hotel has complete facilities and the service attitude of the staff is very good. Generally speaking, it is only suitable for backpackers who have strong interference ability and do not have high requirements for accommodation.
