"Staff were very friendly. First instance when stepping into the room was OK. But when you looked closely, there were few things that could be further improved, like the maintenance of the ceiling, the wall, the board, the shower, the throw, the rug, the desk etc. At least the environment was quiet at night so my sleep was OK."

"This hotel is conveniently located near the University of Auckland and the far end of Queen Street, with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets just a two-minute walk away. The gym facilities are among the best you'll find in Auckland hotels, and both the rooftop pool and spa hot tub are very relaxing. Housekeeping is done daily, and the staff are proactive in communicating with guests. Excellent value for money."

"A clean and trendy hotel located at Upper Queen Street. The hotel has a gym, massage and an Italian restaurant downstairs. Staff were friendly. Convenience stores, bars and late night restaurants on Karangahape Road were around the corner. The core CBD was only an approximately 15-20 mins walk. Recommend!"

"Phoned in for help. VERY kind, patient and helpful. Stayed on the line until I said we were okay.  Valet Service: Excellent in every way.  Concierge: thorough and thoughtful. Made moving from car, to book-in area to the room very simple.  Booking In: polite, efficient, friendly.  Room itself: magnificent!! "Lots of hidden costs $1000 security deposit which was only told about at check in also no on sit parking and when asked for times I'm email before arrival was not informed of price of parking till arrival $36 a night and no vehicle over 2.1m will fit rather annoyed after doa close to $5k booking to have these add one with no warning"

"Repeating breakfast served daily n very expensive parking fees if book thru 3rd party website. Perhaps to look into the F&B served in the morning n also In-Room Dining menus as limited choices n pumpkin n maple soup really too sweet n not compatible. Need to update more choices of food for In-Room dining. Other than that, the service n room cleaning was superb n fast n all waiters r very friendly n courteous including the officer in charge during check in n check out. Thanks"

"This is my third time staying at this hotel. The staff already recognize me and are very friendly. On my previous two stays, I used a credit card for the deposit and didn't receive a refund notification (though it was eventually refunded, just took a while for the bank to process). So this time, I opted for a cash deposit, and the staff were happy to accommodate. The room is very spacious; I could open two large suitcases without it getting in the way."

"Decent Budget Stay with a Few Setbacks The property is about a 25–30 minute drive from the airport via Uber, and we paid NZD 48 for the ride. Check-in was smooth ,we got our room key within 5 minutes. We booked for 2 nights and paid less than expected compared to other hotels in Auckland. The room was basic, as expected for the price. However, we had issues with the electricity ,the circuit would trip whenever we plugged in the heater provided by the hotel, making it difficult to stay warm. On our last night, the lights kept turning on and off, and we had to rely on our phone flashlights since we didn’t want to keep calling reception. On the bright side, the WiFi was strong enough to play PUBG without any problems. The location is also great , we enjoyed a morning walk to the Sky Tower and nearby parks. There are several restaurants within walking distance too. Overall, it’s okay for a short budget stay, but the electrical issues definitely need to be addressed."

"Loved this hotel, the rooms are big, very clean and well equipped with everything you need for comfort. Everything is well maintained and very clean. The food is reasonably priced, drinks are a bit expensive, but the bar is beautiful. It has many nice spaces to sit if you don't want to sit in your room. I had to do some work during my stay and it had plenty of nice seats. The location is good because its only a short walk to the city center."

"The breakfast was great, with a wide variety of options, and the hygiene was excellent. There were no slippers in the room, but after calling the front desk, they were brought up quickly. The hotel's location is also superb, right on the main street in the city center, making it very convenient for shopping and getting around. I particularly loved their bath products; the scent was so refreshing."
