Kasa Downtown Austin

Great, central downtown Austin location. Walkable to meetings, restaurants, etc. Roomy well appointed 1 bedroom. Modern, clean. Service team is super responsive.

If you're looking to be in the heart of downtown, this is the best location. Lots going on around, plenty of places to eat, walking distance to grocery stores. Be aware that because this is right in downtown, there is also a lot of noise. Just part of the experience. If you're a light sleeper, you'll want ear plugs. The apartment itself was very good, nice comfortable bed, kitchen with just enough things for cooking if that's what you like to do. It was nice to be able to stay in an apartment versus just a hotel room. Felt like a good value for the money.

Upon our arrival, we encountered an issue with the monitor used to enter the temporary elevator code for accessing the upstairs unit—it was not functioning. Consequently, we had to wait outside until a resident passed by and helped us by scanning us in. Once inside the unit, we were surprised to find there was no toilet paper available anywhere. I immediately contacted the 24-hour help number via text but received no response. I then called the help line and was placed on hold for 10 minutes. When someone finally answered, they assured me they would notify the onsite representatives. After an hour and a half with no follow-up, I called again. This time, I was informed that no one was available on site, but they would ensure toilet paper would be provided within 24 hours. When I asked how we were expected to manage in the meantime, I was told we could purchase toilet paper ourselves and would be reimbursed. I also inquired whether anything else could be done to address the inconvenience and the fact that we were not receiving the amenities that were listed in our reservation. The representative said that aside from compensation for the toilet paper, nothing further could be offered. I then asked about the possibility of a late check-out, as our plans were being disrupted while we searched for toilet paper, but was told that this would incur an additional charge. The representative maintained that no other compensation could be provided. During our stay, we were abruptly woken up by the building's malfunctioning fire alarm which blared loudly for 15 minutes at 8 a.m. and again the following morning at 5 a.m. Additionally, there were several issues with the unit itself. The bathroom sink’s water pressure was so low, even on full blast, that it was essentially a trickle. The pullout sofa bed was provided with only a single flat sheet—no blankets or pillows. Half of the glasses in the kitchen cabinet were dirty. There was also a loud buzzer noise coming from a water shutoff in a closet, which went off several times an hour. Overall, our experience fell far short of expectations, and despite reaching out multiple times for assistance, the response was inadequate in addressing the many issues we encountered.

I had very bad experience we paid for a late check out and as we were out for breakfast came back to find that house keeping came in room and removed some of our belongings connected the property and have not heard anything from them.

Great location to all the nearby shops, cafes and restaurants. The system to access the apartment was seemless. Lots of space and the apartments are modern with great contemporary style. Bed and pillows were nice and soft. I highly recommend staying at Kasa while your in Austin.

Great location… very spacious 2 bedroom apartment! Was perfect for our visit. We really enjoyed the deck overlooking the river. Everything walkable from this location!
