The hotel is located on Second Street in downtown Austin, and the surrounding transportation and food are very convenient. There are many restaurants, but there is no Chinese food. In addition, the breakfast in the hotel is average, and there is no European hotel number.

Over priced, no ice buckets in room and when one was brought it was just a metal pail.

Great conference hotel but compared to other JW properties this is one of my favorite. First, the elite lounge is large and there are plenty of food and beverage options that are perfect. Second, the rooms are spacious and very clean. (I am very picky in this!) Third, the spa and fitness center are up to date and offer great options and modern equipment. Fourth, (tip) try to get a corner room…absolutely beautiful! Separate living and bedroom with large bathroom. Fifth, location, location, location…right in the heart of it all. Bottom line, check this property out..worth the money!

We spent two nights at the JW Marriott for our wedding anniversary. Kim, at the front desk, was very helpful during the check-in process and sent a lovely welcome/anniversary gift to our room. The hotel was perfectly situated to explore the city. We enjoyed the rooftop pool, expansive gym, The Corner restaurant for brunch, and the concierge lounge. The room and facilities were in excellent condition.

What you expect from a Marriott property. Great experience and customer service from all the staff. One down side is valet parking. Poor design of the hotel and valet is always backed up and challenging to get your vehicle. Once you are there it is the last thing you will worry about. Rooms are spacious and updated with modern technology. Large showers that have the softest water and plenty of room. Pool on floor 5 along with the spa and executive lounge (huge). Nice Italian steak house on site and a little bar called corners for some tasty finger foods. Right on the corner of 2nd and Congress so you are close to 6th street and close to the bats attraction. Highly recommend staying.
