This hotel is on the lower end of any Hampton Inn I have stayed. They operate the Homewood Suites next door too. When I arrived a person wear Homewood Suites shirt was working the desk. My room was not ready and they were giving people checking in early a difficult time. At the onset it appeared they cannot keep up with housekeeping. I was told they were not sure when my room would be ready. When I did check it, the room was very aged and the furniture showed it had been used for sometime and needed replacement. Oddly, they have the new sliding bathroom/closet door, so I figure it had been upgraded recently. Quick look in the closet and no laundry bag - past experience tells me this means they are cutting corners. First, there are no gluten-free options, not even fruit, at this location. This is one of the very few Hampton Inn’s that had a minimal breakfast selection and did not offer gluten-free. Next, there was no daily housekeeping. There was no signage, notification, or information on the website about this not being offered. One guest told me they had been there 3 days and nothing was changed. If you are not offering or providing then your website should indicate such and there should be notices throughout the hotel - sorry if you do not like telling people. In my room, the sink escutcheon was falling off, the rob holder was falling off the wall as well, the power strips were all loose and your cords would not stay plugged in if you did not have a grounded power cord. The rooms do not have microwaves! Why would they not have room microwaves, if you need one walk downstairs to the lobby - why? I am guessing money cost cutting. I went to use the ironing board and the cover would not stay on and the iron tip was broken. The cord had a well worn yellow/tan tone. The room is so moist and wet, to the extent the floor feels damp. My clothes were all damp by day 3 too. The AC is not removing moisture from the air, it just was adding more, same with putting it on the heat setting. One real peculiar point is they lock the hotel lobby entrance from 6 AM until 10 AM. Why is the lobby entrance locked, requiring your room key during business hours, probably to keep out the homeless people who were using the pool as a bath! Why not fix the issue rather than inconvenience your guest!
